All these "I'm leaving" threads are silly. Just keep quiet and leave. Too much drama. In the grand scheme of life this internet forum ranks right above butterfly catching in importance. I've never seen so much whining over a free service in my life.

I want everyone to stay. The reason this forum remains my favorite--and the reason, I suspect, that it used to crash a lot more than other forums--is that it is  very active. Sure, the Les Paul Forum is more stable and the G&L forum is more stable and MWGL is more stable, but it's often moribund at those forums. It can take forever to get a response to a post.

But if you're not going to stay, quit announcing you're leaving, because you know you're really not going--and that, if you do leave, it's going to be very temporary.

Realistically ,there wont be many left in a few weeks time.
The forum is just to troublesome for most to deal with.

There are other, less cumbersome forums, and most will
go to those. Not out of dislike for HC, but for ease of use
and format preference.

didnt Harmony Central make a horrible forum change a few years back?  And now they are doing it again?  When will they learn their lesson?  This forum is ugly as hell.

This forum change is horrible. Why did they change the format to this? Went from one of the best to the bottom of the heap.

@soundcreation....If I only had three posts for the entire time i KNEW about harmony central forums, how would I know what the old forum looked like stupid?

I was on the old forum for YEARS and I went through the "2.0" phase of the forum as well idiot.

I only took on this because I would not get my username or password to work.

Next time, try to use your brain as something you actually use instead of taking out to play with.

Wow...every time there's even a slight change around here, we have 100 of these "I'm leaving" threads. I agree with the OP, if you wanna leave...there's the door. This forum isn't perfect, but it is a FREE service that we all enjoy. You all act like we own this place, but we're all just guests here.

I own a f ucking forum. If 1/4 your user base complains you change it. The site is literally unreadable to me, I have epilepsy. Something about the colors+layout hurts, get seizure auras. Brown on my phone is fine.

there's some people who i really dig that will probably split.. it's a shame, but it is what it is

i'm sticking around though ... for me, "hey guys we know the place isn't right yet but we jumped ship early because the other place kept crashing" is acceptable... even if things could have been handled better.. i'm not personally offernded by it... that just seems a bit ridiculous

people that are too impatient to give this new upgrade a few weeks to iron out the wrinkles probably aren't going to add much to the community anyway. Give me a group of calm logical people and i'll stay even if i have to learn a few new buttons.

I'm not saying I like the new forum, I don't. I use an iPad and still haven't figured out how to post pics yet, which is important to me. But they'll get it sorted out I'm sure. In the meantime my new job actually affords me some alone time at home in the early afternoons, so I'm doing the previously unthinkable and actually plugging my guitars into that dust catching block of electronics in the corner that I used to call an amp. I dug out my "how to play XXXX" DVDs and have actually learned a thing or three lately. Imagine.

Well there are some people that said they are leaving that I hope come back. The criticisms I have heard that are legit are from iPad users. No real problems for me.

I plan on staying.

When I lost 2 of our 3 family dogs this year, I got a tremendous amount of support on this forum, and that meant a lot to me. I did leave with most of us during the HC2 fiasco. This new look is nothing like HC2.0. This was been my home basicially since I started playing 6 or 7 years ago. I don't use Facebook, or post to any other forum with any frequency. This forum is my home, and family.
