How much is this guitar worth?

I'm trying to find out how much this guitar is worth. I bought it from someone about a week ago and it's in very good condition. He replaced a lot of the things in the guitar.

1985 Fender Stratocaster Body

Squier rosewood neck

Jackson Pickups

I'm not sure how much more detail I should add but if you need more information, just let me know. I'm mainly just looking for a estimate of how much you think it is worth.

Re: How much is this guitar worth?

Probably not more than $100. You could part out the neck and body for $200 if you get really lucky, but unde $150 is more realistic.

Re: How much is this guitar worth?

It's worth what someone would pay for it.

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $50-$75 for a parts-o-caster.  I own a few myself, but I frankenstratted them personally.  I'm rarely interested in other people's projects/customized guitars.

Also, I don't know why you're selling a guitar just after buying it (and you don't have to tell me why), but I really hope you're not one of those guys who is into flipping guitars on Craigslist, or buying whole guitars and parting them out for profit.  That shit pisses me off.

Really? I know so called Partscasters out there worth a whole lot more than many of Fenders offerings, and lets face it Andersons, Suhrs etc are basically pricey partscasters.

David Gilmour plays a partscaster, as does Eric Clapton.

Some more Partscasters

Re: How much is this guitar worth?

Based on the description, it sounds like the product of some guy's junk bin, and therefore would probably only fetch bargain-bin pricing.
Guitars: 3 Fender Strats, Fender Jazzmaster, Squier Bullet, 2 Gibson Les Pauls, Gibson ES-339, Gibson Les Paul Jr. Special, Epiphone Les Paul, Epiphone Dot, Epiphone SG, PRS SE Custom 24, Ibanez AS73, Ibanez RG4EX1, Hamer Duotone, Larrivee D-03R, Takamine EG5013S, 1951 Epiphone Devon, Ibanez SR305 (bass)

Pedal Chain: BBE Green Screamer -> MXR Distortion III -> Boss CE-5 -> EH Stereo Pulsar -> Boss DD-20 -> BBE Boosta Grande

Amps: Vox AC4, AC15, AC30, Pathfinder 10, DA5

Ok... I should have clarified.  I meant a Parts-o-caster like what the OP has, or various ones made of mixtures of Squier, Mighty-Mite, GFS etc parts.  Nothing wrong with those guitars or the parts they're made of, but they're not on the same level as the ones you provided pics of.  The ones you posted are (of course) going to be worth more.

My mistake.

less than you think. Its worth about 1.5 times what the neck alone is worth.

Well, really that's why i'm interested in finding out how much its worth because. I have another guitar that sucks and then I bought this guitar for 130 dollars but it sounds way better than that. This isn't a great comparison but for anyone here that listens to the Smashing Pumpkins, I can get some of their songs to sound almost exactly the same with this guitar. Also, I can probably post pictures soon.

only you can answer that. How much you can sell it for and what its worth to you is gonna be different. Money does not equal tone and you have found this out. most people still believe a cheap guitar will always sound cheap and an expensive guitar will never sound cheap (or always sound better). It simply doesnt work like that. There are great cheap guitars and crappy expensive ones.
