So as I mentioned a few pages back I just got this used Laney LC 15r. This is the same amp that Saturn got awhile back. It has taken me of few days to "get" this amp but I do I think I'm going to keep it. Really nice convincing high gain at low volumes. And if you plug this thing into an extension cab it's quite impressive.

Re: GAS'ers and Gearheads...

Glad your digging the LC15R Woody. I think it's one of the best sounding amps I've had.

I'm still struggling with this new site. The white pages and grey text is really bugging me today.

I was planning on picking up a new bass today but dealing with the craigslist flakes has left me sitting here with money in my pocket and no bass hanging on the wall. Why would you post something for sale then not follow up with a meeting time and place. I didn't even haggle with the guy. Just told him if it matches the description being in excellent shape I'd buy it and never hear back from him. Oh well maybe he died or ODed or something. He sounded a little impaired.

I think I'll call M123 tomorrow and see what I can do regarding an exchange on the guitar. Is delivery back to them free? I guess I'll find out when I speak to someone there. I do wish they had that faded yellow in the P90 version.

Re: GAS'ers and Gearheads...

Morning

Congrats on the guitar D Man

MLK Day - I am off from work today. Gonna take Sasha down to doggy Day Care in a bit.

In other dog news: It is a long shot with my wife, but a local shelter has a 4 yr old White German Shepherd. His owner died. The Vet told us not to bring another dog into the mix for at least 3 weeks, to make sure the Sheltie is over pneumonia first. Biut we may go visit the dog in the next week or so.

Good football games yesterday. Im not a Ravens fan, or a Patriots fan, but a Harbaugh bowl sounds fun. The coaches' parents must be geeking out right now.

Also looks like one of my favorite basketball team (Seattle Supersonics) will once again be.

Re: GAS'ers and Gearheads...

Called M123. Got them to lower the price on the LP jr and got free return shipping on the MM. I wanted the LP in yellow but they are sold out so I went with satin black. Very little out of pocket to do this upgrade. Anyone see the deal you can get with a little work on the VHT 12/20 for $335.

Had a second date with someone last night that went very well. Have a first date with someone tonight. And no, I am not a playa. I'm just in the interview process.

There's a guy who came up with a fix for Chrome using Stylebot.  It adds a lot more grey background to the text.  I suppose it's not any help if you use Firefox.  However, it might be a good time to download Chrome and learn to use it anyway, since it  is WAY faster than Firefox.

Here is the thread explaining how to do it.   It's pretty simple.  If you get a CRX error, it just means you need to login to your google account.  Here is the thread....

HCEG has become a ghost town.  This is pretty much the way it went down during the HC 2.0 debacle.  HC 3.0 even looks a lot like the Jive software.  The HC 3.0 software works way better than Jive but that doesn't seem to matter to people.

At least you guys haven't abandoned ship.  But, it does seem like most people are staying away for now.

I don't give a d.a.m.n about hypes, fanclubs or tonal religions. All I care about is what works for me.

Hi JR

Well, for me I don't understand why people are put off. I mean the biggest change is in the look of the forum. From my vantage point anyway. I've said this before, but: I'm sticking around cause I can't think of another place to go.

Changing subjects, I happened to be downstairs putting some papers away and I looked at a couch we have down there. I thought of the husky we lost in November. She used to love to lay on that couch. There are still her hairs on the couch. I started tearing up again. It is taking a long tome to get thru my sorrow over my special girls.

Congrats on the satin ebony LP Jr. Special Steve, that's the same one I'm getting.  Hopefully they'll send you the right guitar.  :smileywink:
