Just got back from the Adrian Belew clinic at Sweetwater and they had an Excelsior in their showroom. Didn't get a chance to play through it, but it sure looks cool. I hope to try one out soon.

Awesome indeed! He played a couple new and unrecorded pieces that were just incredible. He was playing along with pitch-shifted delays like it was the easiest thing you could do. He's pretty incredible.

Uh-Oh: Is this an MF Site Problem Or Is the Excelsior No More? The scheduled delivery date had been 4/20 for the longest time, but a day ago, when I checked, the date had been moved back to 7/16. Here's a screenshot of today's Excelsior page at MF:

Perhaps, but I didn't think that they ever had them in stock, and the page says that the product has been discontinued.

I have one on order (not from MF), and my salesperson there contacted his Fender rep. Verdict: NOT discontinued.
