I guess we can't blame the seller for trying.

Re: Deal of the century, wish I had the money.

i think the Highway One series were a smidge over $1000 new, plus the $650 he claims for Kinmans, not sure how he got to $2000 for a second hand instrument.

Here's one the same as his, on sale for under 1k http://bavasmusic.com.au/store/fender-highway-stratocaster-electric-guitar-p-3144.html

Well, kinmans don't cost that much and combined with the price of the guitar he is selling with the kinmans, all brand new, would be $1500 max.    In today's market, down here, he'd get about a $1000 for it, not $2000.  Colloquially here we say, "tell him he's dreaming".

On a side note, I miss that forumite locations are no longer posted under their names.  Where do I complain about that?

A few years ago, 2000 AUD would have been like, what, 40 bucks? :smileyvery-happy:

Would have been a terrific deal back in the day.

Shit, I used to spend every new years eve in Montreal...I can remember getting $1500 CAD for $1000 US!

I'm also pretty sure that your gas is now cheaper than ours and I KNOW your unemployment is much lower.

Kudos to Canada, too! Unlike Australia, you don't have big mountains like the Alps, but at least Hitler didn't come from there!
