Who cares how the site looks - it's the information within that matters to me. As long as this forum works better than the old one does I am happy.
The old site looked like she-ite! This looks much nicer. Before long we will all be used to it. Everyone panics at first, then it all settles in and you find all your stuff.
If you are a giiging guitarist and you've played all the sh*thole dives like I have, then an environment like this all of a sudden feels quite nice doesn't it!
Trying to send some positive vibes out! I'd hate to see some people leave over this (which is likely inevitable)

So far I'm only seeing minor issues. The interface is a bit awkard. But it's not bad. I don't like how the text doesn't wrap when you are responding to threads. There are some login issues. Really, it's about what I expect with a major move to a new platform.

I for one don't have any issues with the new forum. The front page is a bit busy but I never go to the front page so it's no biggie to me.
The limited use of screen real-estate is a bit silly but since I rarely browse in full-screen mode that's not a big deal to me either.
For those complaining about the font size, go into My Settings and change the font size to large or extra-large, problem solved.
I do think it's a big improvement on the iPad. It uses the whole screen and is clean and crisp in appearance.

Time will tell. Not super intuitive for me as of now.
oh, and I lost a couple thousand posts from post-count. Whatever.

Unfortunately the "content" is so far to dsiseminate. This is a design nightmare. On the board lists, titles are showhorned in and abbreviated unnecessarily; titles have less prominance than the number reads.
And within the htreads, the actually post content is completely lost because it is differentiated from quotes and sigs by nothing more than a line. How about some boxes, color shading, etc.I expect a lot of the ergonomics (for lack of a better word) will be worked out. But hunt and search for a worse -looking, more poorly laid out forum design than this...I doubt you'l find it.

Try Google CHROME via iPad. The site works through that although the QUOTE function is nowhere to be found.

Like any upgrade there are buggy weird things... but i suspect they will clean up a lot of that as it goes along and they get feedback.
I don't know ... as i said really who cares. It works... it seems quick.. better on a mobile device ...
Then again I like change... keeps me mentally sharp... its good to get forced out of your comfort zones.
Ultimately --- let's talk about guitar!
Bonamassa in a funk band?? That's weird and cool isn't it : )

yes the site works in Google Chrome and you can even quote if you select request desk top site from settings but you can't post pictures because that function requires Flash.

If it works faster and more reliably, that's most important, but I don't like it visually. It's hard to read. The thread titles are squished into such a small box, each thread titles takes up several lines of text. I'ts not nice to read and look at because each thread takes up so much vertical space. The column for "Number of Replies" and "Kudos" takes as much horizontal space as the thread title. That's weird, and hard to read.
I'll probably get used to it because I haven't found any similar sites over the outtage that were better, but I dont' know... it's unpleasant to browse.
