Best place to send a Strat neck for finishing?

[ Edited ]

I have an all maple unfinished  Warmoth Strat neck that I wouldlike to get finsihed in gloss Poly.

There is noone that I know of in my area ( San Antonio, Tx).

Who can you vouchsafe for to send this away to  get this done professionally and at a reasonable price?

You know with a little patience, TruOil is nearly impossible to screw up, and it can yield amazing results.  Something you'll be more proud of if you do it yourself.

Warmoth will not warranty a maple neck that has not been finished with a hard finish such as polyurethane.

I've heard that before, and I am no expert on what Warmoth will cover, but Tru Oil dries hard and impermeable just like traditional "paints".  I'd take TruOil's durability over Nitro.

In the pic above the wood looks to be stained.

Tru oil will go on the wood clear.

Not only is tru oil unbelievably easy to apply, it feels much better to the hand then any polyurethane, and it is very durable.  You will be making a mistake if you don't use tru oil.  Sold at any gun store for about $10 a bottle, also goes by the name gunstock oil.

Just wipe a really light coat on with a rag. It's dry in about a half hour.  This is about 10 coats.  So easy a cave man could do it, and it looks great.

I've talked to Warmoth before I did my neck and they will warranty a neck if it is finished with Tru oil.

Not stained, it's made from Goncalo Alves.  And yes the TruOil is clear, and will bring out the best any slab of wood has to offer.

BTW, your neck looks great!  Did you wet sand with TruOil or buff yours out or what?  It's good to know that Warmoth does recognize TruOil as a "legitimate" finish... it'd be silly not to.
