Amp stand?

Anyone have an amp stand that they like and that looks nice? I'm looking to get one for my Vox AC15 to reduce complaints from my downstairs neighbor (figure getting the amp off the ground will decrease the amount of sound coming through the floors). Any suggestions?

I saw the Atlas stands (http://www.atlas-stands.com/) and may drop them a line to find out pricing but I'm guessing they're more than I want to spend...

I may also just build my own so if anyone has suggestions on designs, that's appreciated too.

Thanks.

Re: Amp stand?

If you want something on the cheap side check out what MF has in stock. I was looking at getting some Musician's Gear stands for my BRG Vox AC15 and AC4. I imagine those atlas ones can be a bit pricey. But if that is the style you are looking for, build some yourself!

Re: Amp stand?

One thing you can consider is to get yourself some chrome wire shelving parts so you can put together a stand with dimensions that fit your own needs. That way you can decide how high off the floor you want it and also create some storage space above and/or below it.

Just don't buy this piece of shite http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acces...back-amp-stand it opens up to greater than a 90 degree angle so you have to add cushions to get a good secure fit.

Re: Amp stand?

I would start with a chair placed on a rug to see if it helps any then spend some coin on a nice tilted dealy.
Those Atlas stands look gorgeous.

Re: Amp stand?

I'm pretty happy with my AmpEndage stand. At $69.95 or $99.95 they aren't the cheapest option out there but they look a lot nicer than those cheap little metal stands you get for $25-30.

Re: Amp stand?

DEFINITELY more than you want to spend(like, $195, incl. shipping), but one of these would be fun...

That Vox stand is absurdly priced! $195 for that metal stand? I wish I had access to a metal shop - I could make that thing in an hour.

Anything else? I think the ampendage stand is nice but I also may work on a design of my own.

Re: Amp stand?

Another option, although nowhere near as sexy, is an Auralex Monitor Platform

Re: Amp stand?

I use this one for my AC15, DRRI, and Tweaker. I like that the angle is adjustable.

Yep, I have two of those. On Stage RS7705. Nice stands with a lot of adjustment range. It also worked really nice with a 3U rack when I was running an AxeFx setup. Apparently, they have gone up in price a decent amount. I bought two for around $40 shipped not very long ago.
