Go over to the Feedback forum.

While Lithium is not providing a buglist, the number of broken 'features' is astounding. This is not a matter of a bunch of crying forumites, missing their old GUI.

This is very buggy software.

A lot of layout issues can be solved with the CSS plugin for Chrome.  It's really, really easy- just activate the CSS editor, click on the avatar, and assign a new value.  For some reason the software is shrinking the avatar.  I find that resetting the pictures to 100% of their original value fixes the problem.

Stop by the main thread about the plugin for more info.

Chrome isn't an answer for everything, and I cannot run Chrome on my work machines as other software we MUST run isn't supported on Chrome according to the software supplier. So Chrome isn't the universal answer.

Granted, but didn't Phil post somewhere that they had to launch this version before it was tested by the membership due to the decrepit nature of the old site?  Features are getting sorted.  What makes me happy is a) this site seems a lot more stable, b) it's WAY faster, and c) at some point someone at worked tagged the HC forums for "streaming music" and blocked it at work.  Now that HC has abandoned the "acapella.harmony-central.com" address in favor of the standard "harmonycentral.com," I can access the site.  :-)

Then you'll just have to be patient and wait for things to get sorted out the normal way.  :-)  I was just pointing out a way to fix it now.

But I do appreciate the problems with accessing the site at work.  I'm just glad that I CAN access it at work now!

This **bleep** is reeeeeeeeally annoying.  Also, why the crazy cursing filter?  Did Disney buy HC as well?

I just found out about the facelift a few days ago. Not sure why they had to change it, but I'm not going to start pulling my hair out over it.

One of the mods said the *bleep* had to do with Google having ID'd the site as inappropriate for work or some such shit, which resulted in the site not getting primo ad traffic, which meant it wasn't generating much revenue.  So they are using the Google language blocker, which doesn't work worth a mutherfukinshit, in an effort to clean the place up.

Just realised in doing this that I didn't know how to do a reply to previous post/insert a quote in the new platform.  *facepalm*

Re: it seems that hcfx peeps can't deal with computers

Yes we had to launch this "early" due to the cruddy performance issues on the old site.

Yes, you can quote. For more on how to do that, check out this thread:

http://www.harmonycentral.com/t5/Feedback/FAQ-How-to-Quote-and-more/td-p/34673028

Yes, the smut filter is supposed to have been turned off already - not sure what happened or why it isn't, but when the GC and Lithium folks come in to work tomorrow, that's one of the first things I'll be asking them about, along with our request for darker text, color differentated hyperlinks, etc. etc.
