with my previous amp (sovtek midget50h) the lbp-1 -> ts9 combination was my main dirt.
ts9 alone, or boosted by the lbp1, or lpb1 on its own, it was my secret weapon
now with my boyc tweed royal, the ts9 is a work horse as before, but the amp and the lbp-1 are no friends.
the sound becomes completely useless once the knob is above 12o'clock and before its also already farty and not nice...
no matter if the amp is as clean as he can or a bit dirty or even dirty as he can, no sound in combination with the lbp1 is likeable
i replaced it now with a digitech bad monkey i already had, but the results are also not that so desirable
i'm looking for a clean boost to drive the amp or the ts9, which has worked wonderfull with the lbp1in the past, but not with this amp...

Depends a lot on the price point and what options you prefer?
EDIT: I read your question some more. I think what happens is that your low end farts out. I have this same experience with the LPB-1. There are different types of boost: opamp, fet etc. So for starters it would be good to try different ones with your amp/guitar to see which one works best. I would also suggest trying a boost with bass/treble knobs. Don't forget that pedals like the Lovepedal Amp11/OD11, RC Booster, Mojo Hand Fx Rook are great for boosting too and controlling the tone at the same time.
That being said the SHO, already suggested here might be a good match because it's a very clean boost.
Some other suggestions: Cot50, Jack Deville Boost Tiger, Carolina Icarus, Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster etc.etc.
