My suitcase which my gorm board fit perfectly into decided to die completely after my last gig. But considering it was only meant to be a stopgap and it's lasted me 2 years, I'm happy to gain all the indie credz by taking my pedals in a bag and playing them on the floor at gigs for now.
So show me pics of your homemade cases. How did you go about making it? Tips on what to avoid or added extras people may not have thought of?
And yes, this is directed at the 4 of you that still use this forum.

I'm seriously hoping that's not the case because I would rather not have to start from scratch finding a new case and then making a board to fit. Laziness is the operative word here as I have half of what I need really.
That's exactly the point actually. It takes just half an hour to saw a piece of hardboard or to put together your own diy gorm style board. THAT would be the lazy/easy way here
You don't have half of what you need. Building your own diy case would be three times as much trouble and money...

I agree with the other suggestions. Find the case first and then build your board. I tried finding a case to fit a DIY pedalboard and never found one that would work. I ditched my first pedalboard and built a new one into an old Goodwill suitcase in an afternoon over a few beers.

I just went through this situation myself. I had a homemade board of an odd size and went with getting a slightly bigger roadcase and adapted my board to fit it. In the end I'm glad I changed the board, its way easier to use now.
Anyway, you can get a custom size case for $99 here...
Theyre not the beefiest of cases but you get what you pay for. I like mine and dont think I need anything more for the price.
