Yeah... a lot of the hype stems from the fact that the market wasn't completely flooded with delay pedals when the original Puss came out like it is now.

Re: Way Huge Aqua Puss reissue (I know we discussed it at TGP, but let's talk here now!)

The problem lies in their pricing scheme. The aquapuss could do well if it sounded great (perhaps like a TB dm2 XD) and was offered at a reasonable price.

WH reissue dirt pedals go for $180, so you figure a delay would run you a bit extra. There are plenty of dm2 clones with more features to be had around that price.

Run!

The dirt pedals are individually priced from $120 for the boost up to $180 for the fat sandwich. But I agree anything over $200 is going to be a very hard sell for a 300ms delay.

I guess I just sort of assumed it would beunder $200, since the rest of them are in that range. It would be somewhat weird to have one pedal in his range that was just ridiculously more expensive than the rest like that.

I still want him to pop in with more details, but it looks like it's gonna be silent until NAMM.

i find the 10ms-300ms range to be the most useful... that said i'd pick up a dm-3 or 2 before this. i wouldnt kick it out in the cold though

The beauty of the AquaPuss is in it's tone. You aren't going to find a boss pedal that can touch that. Boss knows next to nothing about good tone. Just ask that douche Johnny Dimarco. I also dont think the ap reissue is going to be able to touch the vintage ap's tone either. Prices may go up.

oh gnoes! NO M3005's! WHAT EVER WILL WE DO. lawl im probably guna buy one of these reissues, and build a copy of the original (by spending 20$ per chipi, which totals to like 40$ of chips in one fookin pedal), and then compare, and then stroke myself because delay is awesome.

Visual Sound made their own chips for a while now

Ill take one of these over any EHX analog delay

also over a Carbon Copy, It was too muddy to me

Judge before you try much?

I bet the AP MK2 is a souped up CC.

I find I never really use much over 500-600ms. 300ms is short, but it's enough to provide a nice ambience

Carbon Copy sounds kind of sterile to me. I think it's pretty stupid that Naterel's pretty heavily onboard the hype wagon- it could suck for all we know. I don't trust Dunlop products. Everything by them I've tried has let me down. (this is including some MXR and Way HUGE mk2 stuff I've tried.)

In all fairness, I've completely boarded the hype wagon too a bit prematurely here. I've been offering my DM-2 to anyone who will give me a new Aqua Puss for it haha.

I've liked most of the newer Way Huge stuff though, so I've got faith in this Aqua Puss reissue, I just wish we had more details.

Hype? What hype this isnt another amp in a box. This is a pedal that was highly sought after being reissued. While I cant be sure it wont implode like the MB im pretty sure it will sound 100% better
