Just for curiosity's sake, does anyone know what's being used here? Right after the 0:57 mark, this big wall of buzz/fuzz hits. Would this be the Shin-ei Companion?

It's the Shin Ei Fuzz Wah but I always forget what version. I think it's the WF-8/8-tr which was essentially a Super Fuzz, right? And yeah, supposedly the fuzz wah he had was broken, but I've never read that it was the wah part that was broken.

Yeah, it was a fuzz-wah with the Superfuzz circuit. I had one for a little while, and it sounded exactly like that.

So, is the original (fuzz wah w/ superfuzz circuit) the only thing that can produce such a huge wall of fuzz like that? Or is there a clone that doesn't cost eleventy million dollars?

Logically, I guess any Superfuzz clone should do the trick. Doesn't Joyo make one that's like 40 bucks? When I want to get a wall of fuzz sound, I use my Swollen Pickle; not a Superfuzz, but has a very big sound.
