You mean that you put gaffer on the velcro to stick your pedal on the stage floor?

I put as much on as a feel like at the time. But I like the pedal to be secure enough that when I'm a clumsy idiot and kick the side by mistake, it doesn't go flying and break all my patch leads. And I don't like it rocking about because it's only held by one thin strip. Basically I put as much velcro on as I can without obscuring the serial number (unless it's a pedal no one cares about, then I just cover it all).

Not on the velcro, on the sides of the pedal to tape it to the floor. Like the volume pedal in this picture:
