I have a green russian small stone. Love it. Sounds awesome.
It leaves me wanting more. Where do I go next? OTA IC phaser? I'm looking at the keeley phaser, sounds pretty good.
The main thing I'm looking for is more control over the wetness of the phase and the overall shape and color of it.

Blackout Effectors Whetstone or the new, smaller, OTA Phaser
i've tried so many different phasers, but if you love the Small Stone, that's an OTA 4-stage phaser.. anything like the EQD (Ross phaser) or MXR variants won't be what you love about the Small Stone.

VFE looks promising. I've never been a huge fan of the phase 90 though.
Retrosonic is too bland and those last two are too expensive.

Sort of what I was thinking. The sibling looks really good but I think I would miss the feedback control.
Maybe I'll start hunting for a whetstone unless someone knows of something comparable.

I thought that was what it sounded like. Wasn't sure though, the album has such a variety of different tones.

+1 to the whetstone. it sounds really good and can do crazy stuff too. mine is set to a fairly standard small stone sound, big and slow and deep, but not quite wooshy. I havent had to tweak it in like 2 months. it sounds so good.

I went on a phaser chase a few years ago. Started with the small stone, and after many phasers, ended with the small stone.
I realized that was what would happen after about 3 minutes of looking at phasers. Then I made this thread. Fart Murphy hit the nail on the head.
