got this off TGP. AWESOME amp! completely is the missing link between tweeds and blackface. fabulous clean toanz, seems to have a bit more midrange than my blackface bandmaster and not quite as harsh on the trebblies. it also has some amazing crunch all the way to really overdriven--not quite tweed deluxe 'sploding amp fuzz, but some really nice overdrive.
and the harmonic tremolo (what the cbread pareidolia is based on) is fucking gorgeous.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Nice! I'm letting my '62 Tremolux head + cab go on Saturday. Great amps, I just can't justify keeping it around when I never play it.

i would give you kudos for your post--but you clearly are making a big mistake.
what's the difference between the tremolux and the bandmaster?

i wish you could comment when you give a kudos, so the dude knows why he is getting kudosed. yes, i realize i could explain the reason in the thread or send him a personal message, but wish in one hand and bleep in the other.

when i wrote "i wish you could comment" i didnt' mean you specifically, like i needed you to explain yourself. it was actually me i was wishing had a forum to explain my reason for giving kudos. i should have wrote, "i wish i" come to think of it.

Haha, I've held onto the amp for years but it hasn't seen a stage (or even a really good jam) in ages. These days I'm rocking a SF Super Reverb and Dr. Z Maz 38, both of which have seen major stage/tour time. Planning on a YBA-1 reissue too, the head anyways.
The Tremolux is 35 watts. I have a 1x12 closed back cab for it, matching. The trem is amazing on it; the whole reason I got it.
