Individual FX or stick with g-system?

[ Edited ]

Considering selling the g-system and going individual pedal route. yes/no? fx I use are delay, verb, wah, whammy, and sometimes chorus/phase...

The fx I use the most are delay and verb. The others I use occasionally.

If I go the pedal route, what suggestions do you have for at the very min, delay, verb, and wah.

I'm thinking something like this:

What do you feel you are lacking in your current setup that you want from a individual setup?

Not lacking anything, really. But the idea of individual pedals always appeals to me, however, I do like having patches and being able to change my amp channels per patch. I'm running the g-system in 4cbl mode which is nice, but sometimes the amp almost sounds digital which makes me want to just go a pedal route.

You may want to question spending ~$600 (accourding to your screenshot) on pedals that you don't feel you need.

Individual pedals can be digital, and can 'sound' digital as well.

I only offer this as a word of warning, since you ask such a broad question and it is a deep rabbit hole to go down.

If you can be more specific about your question - like 'my multi-fix unit peavy 5150 model sounds 'digital' - any recomendations on a pedal that can get me that sound rather than buying an actual 5150 head?'

or

'my delay sounds digital to me, I want a delay that sounds nice and warm, dark as can be, with or without modulation, but tap is a must!'

...you can get some specific answeres.

MXR are fine pedals, but they are pretty 'standard'. Lots of endorsement variants over there these days as well.

Other things to consider besides sound are real estate, circuit control options, power options, jack payout, art/asthetics, etc etc.

Running the G-System in 4cbl mode tends to make the amp sound a little digital. The reason being, from what I understand, is that you are basically sending the pre-amp back into the GS and then back into the power amp section of the amp. The FX are stellar IMO.

I've gone down this road several times...it seems to be a cycle. I love the individual pedas and being able to control the parameters on the fly. I also like being able to change pedals out if I'm not happy with one.
