Tramp is my favorite album by far this year. Also Jack White.
I like Tramp a lot, though the track sequencing feels odd around the middle. However, her two prior albums are much better, IMO. Because I Was In Love and epic are two incredible overlooked gems. I have no clue why she isn't more renowned than she is.
Is Sharon Van Etten worth seeing live? She's in my town in a couple of weeks...
I've seen some live stuff, she used to be a really intimate girl-with-a-guitar persona, but now her shows are powerful and sultry. Definitely listen to some of her stuff first though.

have to relisten to some albums, there were quite a few "good" albums (health, grimes, alpine, every time I die, die! die! die!, metric, off!), but not a lot of "great" albums.

The more I listen to it, the more I am thoroughly convinced that Lonerism by Tame Impala is the second best album of the year behind Shields by Grizzly Bear
And I'll be damned if Something from Chairlift isn't a mighty goddamned fine pop record.
