Posting pictures.

Ok, I've been a member of HC for a few years and I've never had a problem posting pictures here. I just download the pics to my Photobucket account, press the IMG code button, and then past the link here. The last couple of times I've tried it the picture won't show up and the link sends me to an error message. Has something changed or am I doing something wrong?

Here's a tip - if you put out some horrible lo-fi recording that sounds like a Gorilla banging an antelope while using a vacuum with a bad belt drive to suck up a floor full of marbles and silverware - and folks don't line up in mass numbers to hop on your wagon... maybe it ain't us who don't "get it". - THX1138

I'm not sure about how the img button is working here but you could always use raw HTML if you want.

Re: Posting pictures.

I`ve never had luck posting photos so if someone can post a video or a paragraph or two instructing us novices...

I would appreciate it.

Peace,

EB

I usually just click the insert image button, and upload from my computer. But I clicked on "help," looked under "images," and found this (this assumes you've already clicked on the image button, located between the link and video buttons in the toolar:

To insert an image from another Website:

  1. Click the From Another Site tab.
  2. Type the URL for the image and click Load Image.
  3. Choose an image size.
  4. Choose how you want the image aligned.

There are now eight music videos posted on my YouTube channel, including a cover of "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," which joins "Little Pieces", "Black Market Daydreams," and "When the Grid Goes Down" (complete with disturbing video )

Here, let's see if I can show an image from the IK Multimedia site...

Photo from IK Multimedia's site

Yes, just followed the directions above and it worked. But when I tried to insert an image from HC's flickr account, it wouldn't do it...I guess there needs to be some kind of GIF, PNG, JPEG, or whatever image "cue" in the link.

Thanks so much Craig! When I get my new studio space back up, I`m going to post some photos. First, we have to survive Nemo...

Re: Posting pictures.

Phil O'Keefe is writing the definitive article on how to post pictures for issue #208 of the Harmony Central newsletter, so keep your eye out for it. It's done in Phil's usual thorough, clear style so I think you'll find it very helpful.

Good luck with the snow, Ernest. I really hope a plague of locusts and rivers running red aren't next.

Also, it won't post the photo unless you type in a title.
