i've never checked out eric gales but, seeing this post, it reminded me of johnny gale, so i broke it out today. actually, i think it's a stage name. he does a couple eric burdon songs, "i'm cryin'' & "boom boom".

i'm not sure which album (this is a *pirate* cassette) but 2 of the songs are "rocking chair" and "substitute". not your standard 12 bar blues. in fact, i think substitute is one chord only but man, what feeling.
