Spent the day with my granddaughter, got another one just this morning!
Spending NYE at home with my Pa, at 88, he ain't got many left.
Simple things are sometimes the best,... IYKWIM

Happy New years to you all! My twins turned 18 on the 29th and both are finishing up sr year and heading to college next fall. Daughter and I went on her birthday to get tattoo'ed (her first, my second) and very pleased with the results. On a down note, spent much of the past 5 days with my GF (Coors Girl) and her family in her mom's hospital room listening to last rites. Her mom go a UTI, sepsis and her kidneys shut down and that's all she wrote. She is now hrs away from crossing the chasm. A good but bittersweet thing for her as she has been an alzheimer's patient for over 10 yrs and really hasnt know anyone or anything for most of that time.

Here's to new beginnings and painless endings.

I can't believe your kids are that old already! Sorry to hear about the gf's mom. My dad may not be too far behind, the way things are going.

Yes, hard to believe. The past 8 years have been a fast forward version of reality, and thankfully when they graduate from High School, the child support payments to my ex will vaporize as well. ; ) Yes, my son is now 6'3" and dealing with the intersect between high functioning autism and teenage social ackwardness. My theatre and chorus-focused daughter is accepted in 3 universities, is now an improbable member of mensa (hides it well), and is trying save her friend from suicide due to the beatings she gets at home at the hand of her f'ed in the head alcoholic dad. So life the circus goes. Hope all is well with you, G, and your band pursuits are ongoing. I have been playing a heck of a lot more than the last time I saw you!
