I have it from a 96 guitar player mag, it's been floating around for quite some time, but not sure if the schems are out on the net (I have it on slick paper)
it's a hotrod by John McIntyre , it does sacrifice the trem to use those tube stages as additional prreamp stages

looks like there is an archive out there on amptone, but as I get it, we aren't supposed to link to copyrighted stuff on the forum.
Since it was in Guitar Player, I'm going to assume it's a "dont reprint without permission" kind of deal

I'd still like to hear the input, but I'm starting to think maybe I should just leave the little guy the way it is and not try too much to make it what it isn't.
I think they actually sound really good and the article is from 96 -- not that it's outdated, but it's a different time when they were around and "contemporary". Maybe the ones still around (mines a 71 I believe) should be left relatively stock and I should find a crate or something to mod
Or maybe one of the modern kit amps, seems like there are more options now or at least more options I can find thanks to the interwebz
