I competed at 139 at my last Naga *cough gold medal cough* Let me tell you, that 16 pound cut will kick your ass. If you do it, do a practice cut a few weeks out, and make sure you weigh in the night before the tourney. And don't drive 5 hours to the tourney dehydrated like I did. Fuck that. I'm a small guy...maybe 5'5" I feel gigantic against some of the guys in 139. But I recommend you do not cut that much dude. It can turn a fun experience into a shitty one real quick. You'd be better off putting on 5 lbs of muscle and staying in that division.
I weighed in at 148. I really walk around at like 155 naturally so its not a big cut, but people always comment that I am big for my weight. I was actually thinking about cutting to 139 lol

The card for UFC on FOX 2 set for January 28th is starting to come together. MMAInteviews first reported and Fight Cove was able to independently confirm, former middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen will take on Mark Munoz for the right to face middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the headliner of the promotions second network TV event. In another feature bout, top welterweight contenders Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez will to square off in a fight that could give the winner a UFC title shot. Sonnen (26-11-1) last fought at UFC 136 in October, defeating Brian Stann by submission in the second round. It was Sonnen’s first fight after over one year away from the octagon due to suspension. It appears he will opt to stay active instead of waiting to fight middleweight champion Anderson Silva, who is likely sidelined until mid-2012 due to injury. Munoz (12-2) scored the biggest victory of his career at UFC 138 earlier this month, stopping Chris Leben with a second round TKO. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” respectfully requested an opportunity to fight for the UFC middleweight championship after he defeated Leben, but it seems he will have to get through Sonnen first. It is unknown at this time if the fight between Sonnen and Munoz will be three or five round. Ellenberger (26-5) has won five straight UFC fights, most recently becoming only the second man to finish former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields. The Nebraska born fighter holds a 5-1 UFC record and looks to make a case to fight for the welterweight championship against Sanchez. Sanchez (23-4) was scheduled to face Matt Hughes at UFC 135, but a broken hand suffered three weeks before the fight forced Sanchez to withdraw. Sanchez is on a two-fight win streak, having defeated Martin Kampmann by unanimous decision in his last outing. Healthy and ready to pick up where he left off, Sanchez will bring his relentless style to the octagon once again. UFC on FOX 2 is set for January 28th, 2012, live on FOX. See the latest fight card here.

boxing = point sparring competition You kind sound like a pre-fight Art Jimmeson
You want to get personal? Im 38 and run a very successful business in NYC, you know the biggest city In AMerica and the financial capital of the world. I own multiple properties and work 6 days a week and somehow find time to wake up at 430am 3x a week to train and spend 1 night a week at a boxing gym getting beat up and testing myself against 19 year old dominican kids that have fast twitch muslce fibers that move like a humkingbirds wings. All the while being a father to a 10 year old daughter. What the fuck do you do again? Oh yeah you are a piece of shit zuffa addict that wears pajamas and plays around with other guys thinking that you are really training for something other than a point scoring competition. Im not training boxing/kickboxing 2x week and weight training 2x a week for anything other than self confidence, enjoyment and to be able to handle myself if somebody acts like an asshole when im with my daughter or my lady who Im probably going to break up with because she is taking away too much of my time AWAY from being able to wake up early and train. I would completely eviscerate you in an actual confrontation with a jewberknee to the face as you dove for a cowardly takedown. I didnt get personal with you as a person only as a fan. I completlemt your ability to compete and salute you as an athlete but dont think for a second that you would ahve any chance whatsoever against me in an actual physical confrontation. So fuck off to you too.

Also, THIS. Absolutely one of the best fights I've ever seen.
Mother of God, I just watched the Hendo/Rua fight...holy fuck, what a war. I wouldn't be surprised if neither fighter is the same after that.
