Posting pictures

Has anyone figured out how to post pictures from another site (like Photobucket)?    It looks like the new interface allows posting from my own computer (yeah!) but unfortunately I run into to file size limitations when I do this.  I would also like to post things that I have already uploaded to Photobucket but the old method of including in

doesn't work for new posts (for some reason it works on old threads.    It looks like I can upload each image to this site, then stick them in a thread, but what I would really like is one place to host the images where any forum can access them.

masterbilt guitar

I typed in the URL for the image after clicking the "from another site" option. You have to name the image or the post will not complete.

Re: Posting pictures

Your'e right, Freeman. You can now post pix directly from your computer. I don't have any that are too large, but if you do you could make a copy of them and then reduce the copy with PhotoShop if you've got the program to do it with.

I'm sure there's a way to do it from Photobucket too, but I haven't had any more luck than you have. Sometimes a computer makes me feel really smart.......then, sometimes.........well, you know..

Mods, lets get rid of the Taliban permanantly please!

The new format dosnt jive with the new photobucket format. I get errors. Same with google images. So Ive been temporarily downloading the photobucket or google image to my desktop, then posting it, then going back and deleting the downloaded image from my desktop. If the image is on a regular webpage, it seems to work ok.

Re: Posting pictures

Update. If you copy the "direct link" in photobucket, instead of the "IMG code", it works.

Thanks, Pineapple......it took it that time! But, you still have to give it a name on the Photobucket site before it works.

BTW, this is a '28 Dodge that belongs to a friend of mine. This guy has about five more that look just as nice as this one. He hasn't done bad for a guy that dropped out of school in the 10th grade. Owns two companies (an auto upholstery shop and an auto body repair shop and four houses....one of which he lives in and rents out the others). And, he owns the buildings and property the businesses are in, too.

He's just a county boy from Portsmouth, Ohio. Said he learned the 3 R's in school. "readin', 'ritin' and route 23" (to Columbus) and that's all he needed to know to make it in this world.

He also told me he'd sell me this Dodge for $50K! It's got AC, a 350 V-8 and a stereo that'll blow your socks off. The little door behind the passenger seat in the side of it holds his golf clubs. The paint on it looks like it's about 6" thick! I've ridden in it several times with my wife. She really digs that rumble seat!

Re: Posting pictures

OK, testing the direct link from P-bucket.   Seems to work, but adding the title is a hassle.   Guess I could just call them 1, 2, 3...

I guess I kinda lost control, because in the middle of the play I ran up and lit the evil puppet villain on fire. No, I didn't. Just kidding. I just said that to help illustrate one of the human emotions, which is freaking out. Another emotion is greed, as when you kill someone for money, or something like that. Another emotion is generosity, as when you pay someone double what he paid for his stupid puppet.
