I have great results from both the K & K Mini, as well as the JJB. All you need is a tapered reamer and some super glue.

Hey Bro. What kind of sound are you looking to achieve?

How loud do you need to get and will you be playing solo, ensemble, or some of both?
Such details makes a considerable difference!

Primarily solo but occasionally, might have a sideman or two. But the big issue is for me, solo. Please see prior post to this one.
BTW, I don't know if they are any good but Fishman has the Aura box thingy... I suppose whatever sucky piezo sound you have, it turns it into a D28 or whatever? lol. Anyone like the Aura?

Useful to know...reason I asked is that the JJB p/us sound great, but turn the face of your guitar into a p/u, so will feedback at higher volumes and can re-amplify a bass amp, keyboards and/or drums, depending on the overall volume/size of venue is.
At higher volumes, a properly installed UST is much more feedback-free...I, myself, use a hybrid system that uses both a UST and a single JJB, into a Baggs PADI, which is relatively feedback-free, but I sometimes need a feedback blocker (in the sound-hole), too, depending on the gig.
The Aura, used w/ a UST, is OK, for what it is, but is not for everyone...try one out, though, it might be great for your needs, should you go w/ a UST...very problematic if you go w/ a SBT (like the JJB).

I have a Lawrence soundhole pickup. I am considering buying a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI to try with the Lawrence. I can also try it with my other guitars that do have onboard electronics.
Anyone have an opinion on the Fishman? I guess it's the top of their line in these types of boxes? Sounds pretty good on the tests. The thing I like most is I can just plug in and go, I don't have to install anything.

Are soundhole pups less prone to feedback, or no?
