The Martin 17 series were about the only guitars that struck my fancy. Disappointing that they went with a spruce top vs. mahogany and that they chose to only bind the top. I was hoping for a grown up version of the D15, not that I'd be able to afford one anyway. Did anyone catch the groaner on the part of the interviewer? "So, the benefit of the slotted headstock is greater string tension, right?" Sorry, wrong. Other than that, the Breedlove Oregon series is intriguing but out of my price range.
