Sound Quality
After playing both my U.S.A strats through the Pro 185 with an interest in blues music I was pleasently suprized at how rich and warm the clean channel was. With the reverb on the 5 setting I found this to be about right any more and the sound got a bit lost.Never have tried the drive channel much but seemed to produce a good amount of grunge at low volumes.Would have to say at high volume levels this amp may not cut through like a valve amp but for lower volume levels the amp is great.
Don't play guitar in a band anymore just the bass so the amp never gets gigged but seems a reliable unit.
General Comments
I have been playing guitar on and off for 17 years and have various guitars and amps like 2 strats a les paul a tele and a Hofner arch-top.I have a Jansen N.Z made valve amp along with a Roland Jazz chorus a Marshall valvestate and a Peavy transtube amp. After playing this amp the Marshall and Peavy are going.I love the sound the Pro 185 produces and will never sell it.
