Sound Quality
I use home made strats and teles with meaty humbuckers on. Im about to start playing in a heavy classic rock band here in Manchester England The big gripe is it shows its solid state because even for the power it doesnt have the headroom like a big valve amp. Plus any sort of guitar which isn't dead solid with pickups screwed down into the body, on high distortion and gain settings it feeds quite badly I built a tele with cheap humbuckers and thats good but my strats scream and squeel at the turn of the gain knob, clean sound is nice typically Fender
Reliability/Durability
I did many gigs with one amp then bought the other one and on the first gig IRONICALLY one of them broke down, some components blew so thank god I had a spare. But overall a very reliable amp. How can i wire in an external speaker socket?
Price/Value
General Comments
they are quite rare over hear i got them cheap and at the right time. Everyone wants Marshalls (all the kids seem to do) Ive just bought my son a whole Marshall rig which I may use but I like my 185's i wont pay a lot for gear like Steve Lukather says it's the player not the gear if the gear is half good it's down to the player. I have had many comments how good i sound ('how do get that awesome sound man' etc)I'm not a great player but I think i know about tone and control which comes with age, these kid's are never happy too bloody spoilt
