Sound Quality:
As far as sound quality it beats all the rest of my dist. pedals. And I have alot of em. I have a Ibanez DS7, a Boss Metal Zone, A boss Hyper Metal, a Electro Harmonix Dual Muff, and a few home made distortion pedals I have built my self.....which are kinda lacking due to bad schematics. But yeah. Out of all of my distortion pedals, it is my favorite one. I can dial in a number of sounds like Queens of the Stone Age's Burn The Witch to Black Sabbath's Never Say Die to Edger Winters Frankenstein. The Setup I am usually using is an Gibson Explorer, Fender Roadhouse Strat through a Boss GE-7 EQ, a Boss OC-2 Octave, a Ibanez PH-7 Phaser, a Ibanez CF-7 Chorus/Flanger(2nd output to Peavy Rage for high end), a BBE Noise Supresser, a Dunlop Standerd Wha, a Boss PW-2 Power Driver, a Ibanez DS-7 Distorion, a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, a Morley ABY Switch running stereo through my Marshall G215R and Alamo Amps Model Number 3. Although with out the noise supression it does get kinda noisy with the Modulation effects active, But remeber they are all run pre distortion for extra "creamy-ness". And yes. They all sound up to par every time I use them. No wiring issues or anything. Just pure tone. Oh yeah. I dont use the Dual Muff so much cus it is really similar to the Boss Power Driver.
Reliability/Durability:
Boss builds Mini-Tanks. Period.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use. Although, yes the muscle and fat knobs are really midrange and bass. But yes Very easy to use.
Customer Support:
I have never modified it. Ever. And like I sead before. Boss builds fricken MINI-TANKS! I got it from a freind of a freind who gave me a crate of cables and a "few" pedals cus he was moving and was "done" with music. One of which was my Lovley Boss Power Driver. I have never parted with it ever since. It is a HUGE part of my tone.
Overall Rating:
My overall rating is a danm 10. In my book, in which I play Classic Rock, Blues, Industrial, Electronic Music, R&B, and "sigh" metal, It is one of the few Perfect Distortion Pedals I have tried. I have been using this thing for almost 8 years now and love every second of it. If I had ever lost it, I would a danm heart attack. I can never find anyone selling one online anywhere. Never. I want a spare one. Badly. This thing is a part of my soul.
