Sound Quality:
I could not get what I would call a satisfactory chorus sound out of it.  Though the pedal has very quiet operation, is well built and does have a pleasing effect.  I does not do very good 12 string chimey things, (i.e. boston, pretenders, etc) it can sort of do Cure stuff as it really sounds like a mild flange.  I definitely like the pedal it's not my main chorus but my backup one which is another reason I got it.  My sholz rockman is over twenty years old now.  So is the dod but I bet that will out last anything out there.  Old DOD and peavey stuff is virtually indestructible.  If it says "made in the usa" and either dod/peavey you know you can drop it from a ten story window and it will be okay.  I usually use the pedal with a marshall, strat and tech 21 gt2.  It sounds pretty good but very mild chorus.  Organic, yes.  Very analog.  I would get one of these before I would buy some new "vintage reissue" crap.
Reliability/Durability:
absolutely.  DOD usa stuff, particularly the older stuff is indestructible.  they will even still answer support questions on it amazing.  I've own vintage mxr, ibanez, boss and just about everything else.  Of all those I think I like dod and 9 series ibanez the best.  MXR were great but your dealing with stuff that's been stepped on for almost 30 years and I am real hesitant to buy the old vintage ones now would rather just go with dod sound close enough to me and I've had them all
Ease of Use:
Like a lot of the first series DOD 2 knob effects pedals it has one good sound-but that one sound is a great one.  I really like them and actively collect them.  My chorus background is I've owned a roland ce-1, boss ce-2, ibanez 9 series twin cam and scholz chorus/delay module.  I have to say the scholz is far and away the best chorus I've ever heard with no close competition.  The dod fx60 is often compared to the boss ce-2 because they look a like and have two knobs but trust me it does not sound anything like it and not the same category chorus.  I bought the dod fx60 because I collect the 2 knob DOD fx pedals and because it uses the same ICs or panasonic memmory chips as the Boss ce-2 and the scholz rock module.  The circuit must be radically different though because the chorus effect is not as good.  You don't require a manual for this pedal.  But the manual is availible on DOD websites for download.  It also explains how to operate the pedal in stereo mode by using a y cord on the output.
Customer Support:
Still answer questions on pedals they made over 20 years ago
Overall Rating:
I guess I play originals and classic rock.  I've been playing since I was five.  I used to be a pretty big vintage collector till it got stupid.  When people start paying $100 for an arion pedal because radiohead used it you know the world is upside down.  I have more common sense than that.  Vintage dealers and ebay has really buffaloed novice players it's really comical.  Mostly the baby boomers who are trying to buy back there youth.  The new stuff from china is not that bad.  Just need to try it before you buy it.  It's as good as anything I've played.  I am giving it a 10 because if you bought it new it would be hundred dollars for what your getting and I paid $19 for a like new one on ebay
