i give it a 9 besuce there is nothing Pristiine about it. it sounds like a cherry bomb blew up inside of my amp.. The pedal fuzzes like crazy. I went into ACTION MUSIC in Arlintoion VA looking a a big Muff pi becaue i wanted a reallly full smashing pumpkins esque sound and he told me he had this pedal that just blew away the big muff pi THe pedal though can memic any of the sounds of a fuzz face(past or present) big muff PI( past or reissue) Vox tone bender FUzzTech 21 XXL or FZ-3 easily ( i compared a few of them.)
but the real secret it to turn both of the knobs all the way up wich in turn overdrives the pedal it self and just sounds like my speakers cardiolids were going to melt
if you find one buy it no matter what
Reliability/Durability:
i can't really say i therw it at my friend once and it is still fine it's case it made of the same black steel in a crybaby and was made in the 70's so it has lasted this long
drains batterys when use at full fuzz of several hours
Ease of Use:
THe Fuzz ace is a two knob pedal that ooks in shap and control pattern like a OLD MXR pedal ( distortion + or BLUE BOX So it's not that hard to use event though the knobs fall of alot

this pedal also has the germaiun fuzz transistors that were used in early fuzz faces and big muffs
if you really want to hear what it sounds like the most accurate comparson is any track on weezers pinkerton or smashing pumpkings marquie in spades or where boys fear to tread or bodies or put a cheery bomb in your amp set it on ten and stand back
