After reading all reviews I was curious if I could get Danny Gatton sweet sound without having my amps crank at 10, so for 50 buck I maked a guess and order it on ebay, what is great about that pedal is that you can match your original sound and then after just had subtle Juice (overdrive) to get some extra grit.To acheive what I was searching for is using the FX-51 with a Boss sustainer CS-3 Monte-allums opto mod to get extra sustain, this is a really great match for doing that. I also us it sometime with Hughes & Kettner Replex echo to get more bite in some rockabilly song. all my effects go through a Peavey Classic 50 115 or VOX AC30.
Reliability/Durability:
I place that pedal in my pedal board and after 3 show the rubber back pad came off so I would suggest to remove the rubber pad and place the velcro directly on the metal case.
Ease of Use:
Realy easy to use:
1:volume 2: base 3:treble 4:overdrive

I play fingerstyle for 31 years, my setup is :Boss TU-2,Boss CS-3 mod,Boss DS1 mod,Boss SD1 mod,DOD FX-51,Replex Hugues&Kettner,
Rocktron Cyborg reverb,VOX vibrovox. I'm using a Gretsch Round up and
a Warmoth Telecaster Custom made.If it where stolen I would certainely buy another one, if you like to play clean and want more edge without changing your tone this is a really good choice for the price.
