2008 model, Made in the USA, Lollar Telecaster pups in neck & bridge
Solid body ash wood guitar wieghs only 6.5 lbs!
Aged Butterscotch finish, single ply black guard...dripping with vintage feel and vibe
Vintage tuners to the three piece bridge, all nicely aged
Nice chunky neck...not too fat or wide...just perfectly full neck for a larger hand
Nice G&G tweed case
Its a Tele....less is more. What's on here is first class all the way
Action, Fit, & Finish:
Great! Vince is an artist. I understand he is the first to run the Fender Relic Custom Shop. so its a "Master Built" axe...at least in my books.
Action was a bit low, but the tech at Gryphon Stringed Instruments gave it a nice set up. Plays like buttah.
Sound Quality:
Looking for a solid body Tele with a vintage feel and tone...I found it!
Blows anything away from modern Fender Inc. Not sure about the real vintage Fender before 1960. Makes me consider selling my G&L Legacy Strats
The neck pup is VERY soulful on its own
My G&L Bluesboy w/ a Lollar Imberial (neck) and Joe Barden/Gatton (bridge) semi-hollow chamber rivals in tone, but does not have the vintage vibe
Sounds like a real Vintage Tele...very powerful tones
Reliability/Durability:
Its a relic, so it has some 'wear' on it. Back up? I am a studio user. If I play live it will be my only Tele axe. the components are solid and reliable.
Ease of Use:
Customer Support:
Dont expect to contact Vinetto, other than to heap my praises.
Gryphin Stringed Instruments, Palo Alto CA are fantastic knowlegeable folks...I have full confidence/experience their staff will stand behind all that they sell.
Overall Rating:
Best Tele I have ever played....period! Vinetto came highly recommended by some well respected artists in the SF Bay Area.
Studio player, collector, and occassional performer for over 40 years
I would replace if lost or theived
Compared to my G&L Tele (Bluesboy & Semihollow) the Vinetto is the perfect solid body Tele. the G&Ls are 'excellent' guitars and better values. I suspect one of my G&L ASAT will be for sale.
for all the work and knowlege Vince puts into hid guitars...great value.
