I think the flanging on this is very nice. You can dial in a variety of different flanging effects, subtle phase sound to full on jetplane, if you so desire. There is a litle (very little) hiss when the effect is first engaged, and quite a bit of boosting in the treble frequencies of my guitar, but to be fair this pedal is at least 20 years old.
Reliability/Durability:
Hmmmm...I bought this at the pawnshop for $20 and it still had the box and warranty card (no manual, alas) and it dates back to a time when DOD was self owned and stationed in SLC, UT...and it still works great. I give that props for reliability.
Ease of Use:
How easy is 2 knob setup? 1 for speed...1 for regeneration rate. Bought it used, so no manual...but if you can't figure it out..maybe you should take up drums or something.
Customer Support:
Never had to deal with DOD or korg or whoever they're owned by now.
Overall Rating:
This pedal works well in my everexpanding analog pedal board..right now it's Danelectro Daddy-o (soon to be modded at indyguitarist.com) into Crybaby Wah into DOD FX-70 into Holmes HX-5 Stereo Chorus into Vox Pathfinder 15R into blissful noise. I find it great for early to mid 80's alternative ala the Cure, Smiths, etc.
