WH-4 Whammy

I am using a PRS CE22 through this along with various other effects and all through a Marshall AVT150 Half Stack. This Pedal is my favorite pedal out of the 7 that I own. It is very vrsatile. You can get anything from two octaves down to two octaves up. My favorite is with the one octave up and with delay, doing a Like A Stone sounding thing, although he uses two octaves up on it. Some other artists that have made this popular are Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Jack White of White Stripes and Joe Satriani. Each of them use it very differently. If you are familiar with Radioheadd's My Iron Lung, that sound at the beginning is with a Whammy on octave up harmony. Also on Just he uses it to get so high. This also makes a great harmonizer pedal, with added 5ths and added octaves and what not. This does affect my sound quality, but I usually have it on with dist./OD so it is drowned out. It alo is not true bypass, so it alters your pitch even when it's off, only a tiny tiny bit, hardly noticable, thats annoying. Digitech should change that in future models.

This is not a reliable product, and not a reliable company! Mine already broke. Luckily I got a warranty and am getting my money back, but buy this with a warranty!!!! It's 20 bucks but it will be worth it in the end. I had mine since late Nov 05, and by January it's already broken.

This Pedal takes a bit of time to get used to, because everybody uses it differently. Once you find your voice with it, its all fun and games. It's very easy to use.

They were nice about it, they said they would have it shipped out for free and they would call back in a couple days, but then they didnt call for 2 weeks so I called and they decided to just send me a check, I'm still waiting on that.

Great sounds come out of this, but it is not reliable. I have become much more creative since i bought this pedal. It's a great pedal, the only good one digitech makes, along with the JamMan.
