decent sound i guess,a bit quieter than a stock pedal but no quieter or better than a stock unit with upgraded components,i bought this pedal used and it popped real loud when stomped, problem was fixed by replacing the switch. I tried it out with several amps, all tube, and for the price i paid ($25)for it ,it is satisfactory, sounds good with singles, soaps and humbuckers
Reliability/Durability:
seems as relaible as an original, the popping switch cant really be anyones fault but the switchs itself beacause it was a high quality switch to begin with, just went bad. as for backup,it is my backup compressor,my main compressor is a ross clone that i built myself, that to me sounds better than any of these that i have ever tried, hand picking your own components just cant be beat
Ease of Use:
easy enough to use, cant say much about that

Overall Rating:
good pedal if you run accross one used,or if you are not interested in building one yourself, the price for a new one can go along way in equipment and materials to build your own and yours will be better if you test every component to make your own sound. This is not a good first pedal to tackle but after a few fuzzes you will be ready. The cost of building my own(and several others for people who have heard mine)was 50 bucks not counting paint, for top of the line components that are the same or better than whats inside of this. Bottom line i guess is it is a good pedal and if you dont want to build or modify your own then you probally wont find a better one,but if you got the mentality to change the strings on a floyd rose or set the intonation on any guitar, then you got what it takes to build a whole line of the finest quality pedals for the price of one of these new.

I use z vex SHO pedal and t.c.electronic stereo chorus after this Analogman pedal. Firstly there are no noise anymore. I used to use Ross compressor and still have a couple of those but there got a some noise. I am using Two Rock Opal combo and Holland Gibbdroll 2X10.And This pedal sounds best for me now. I used to have a couple of MXR script Logo and Ross Comp, many other comps but This one is the best. I need Attack for compressor and other pedals I used to try was pretty muddy and not clear. But they are sweet sound and sometimes works fine. But this Analogman compressor is perfect for me. Because you can creat any sound you want. sometimes sounds like Orenge squeezer and sometimes Ross. And you can arrange with 3 knobs.
Reliability/Durability:
Ease of Use:
this pedal is very easy to use and especially the Attack knob is really works good.
Customer Support:
Very good company. Friendly.

I play Jazz, Fusion, Funk, Rock, Flamenco, Brazilian stuff. I am using BJF Baby Blue overdrive and t.c.electronic 2290 delay. I use pre-CBS strat, James Tyler, John Suhr,1964 Gibson 335. 1942 Epiphone Broadway ,1953 Epi century, and others. This pedal is the best one I have never tried before. I want 3 or more of this pedal for stock.

Awesome! I have gone through a lot of compressors and none hold up to this guy. I am keeping this one. Great endless sustain. Full sounding chords and single notes. I compared it to a real Ross compressor, and this guy is actually quieter. I think it is better than the original, but maybe I am just waaaay too excited about using it at a gig this Friday... :)
Reliability/Durability:
I don't know. I just got it. The construction looks very sturdy.
Ease of Use:
One switch, two knobs. My grandmother can operate that thing.
Customer Support:
Best customer support I've gotten in years. Mike is very prompt at answering emails and is available over the phone as well. Mike spent some time on the phone with me walking me through possible solutions to my problem, and then eventually I had to ship the unit back to him. I got the unit back in two weeks (for one of the weeks Mike was on vacation) fixed at no charge even though it was very possible that the problem with the unit was my fault. How is that for customer support!
Overall Rating:
This well was worth the money and the six month waiting list.

I'm using a Gibson Landmark Nighthawk, into a TS9(unmodded), a dunlop wah, and an Akai Headrush. I am using a Peavy Classic 30 amp. No noise, no loss of signal that I can detect.
Reliability/Durability:
Seems really sturdy, but I try not to test my equipment like that.
Ease of Use:
Pretty easy. Level on left, Sustain on right. Takes a little experimentation to balance them.
Customer Support:
I called Mike as soon as i got it, to clarify a few things about attack time etc., and recommended settings. He answered 2nd ring, and made sure that my questions were answered to the best of his ability. Super.
Overall Rating:
I play rock, jazz, funk, etc. I love this pedal, but I love Analog Man even more. Nowhere in America have I seen this kind of work ethic and customer service. I almost don't want to tell anybody about him.
