I have a fender cyclone II with the plug running into a poly-chorus, big muff pi, holy grail reverb, small stone, graphic equalizer, Fender Hotrod Deluxe. Its noisy when I want it to be noisy with everything pushed to 15db. Its a boost that will bash your ears with solid sound. EHX effects are always strong in nature for what they do. How I use this pedal makes every other pedal I have sound whatever way I want them pretty much... as far as bass, mids, and treble go anyway. I have no complaints on how it affects my other pedals.
Reliability/Durability:
I dont know how long I can depend on it. Its been around for at least 2 decades... hopefully it will live forever but I might have to bring it back to life with some surgery maybe.
Ease of Use:
It's very easy to get a good sound from this or pretty much any kind of sound you want... even the most revolting bass raunchy speaker ripping sounds. 10 lil knobs to do get your motor running. I didnt get a manual with it but Im pretty familiar with graphic equalizers. EH1336A Graphic Equalizer. This model has been discontinued until EHX decides otherwise.
Customer Support:
I havent dealt with the company or known anyone whos contacted them except the store I buy them from. They dont make this model anymore so I dont think there would be any support for it. I dont know though.
Overall Rating:
I play any style I can play. This is a very versatile pedal but I would imagine most graphic eqs are. I would try and buy another if I lost it or it had gotten stolen. I love that it sounds good, I hate that its old. my favorite feature is that I can change the sound from good to ear blowing good. I havent used any other graphic eqs. I wish it was indestructable. It kinda gets in the way with all the sounds but its good for creating things you never knew were there in your sound. EHX should reissue this pedal since theyve reissued the other essentials I think this is an essentail part to any ehx line up.

I play an "EVH Wolfgang"(top of the line model) and play through a modified "Carvin XV100" tube amp with a "Celestion Vintage 30"(60 watts) speaker. It's noisy without a noise gate. But buy the "MXR Smart Gate" and that takes care of that problem.  Let me put it to you this way. Me and my lead guitar player were in "West L.A. Music" in Los Angeles, Ca. and he was trying out a "EH Polychorus"(which he had to take back because of problems with it) and I told him play without this pedal and then plug it in.  He did and the difference was like night and day! The boost and sound quality it gave to the tone was absolutely amazing! My comment was "Your sound without this eq sounds like crap"! He agreed! I bought it and WOULD NOT play without it!
Reliability/Durability:
Very dependable unit and I have had it for about 3 months. Zero problems with the pedal. Yes, I would use it without a backup but I plan on buying a backup just because that is the smart thing to do.
Ease of Use:
Very user friendly with endless possibilities. It sliders that light up and easy to see in a dark club or rehearsal studio. I didn't use the manual just took it out of the box and plugged it into my "Dunlop DC Brick".
Customer Support:
They are friendly and quick responses to their email.
Overall Rating:
I play rock and blues rock and been playing about 20 years. I know you are supposed to be objective here on these reviews but the only complaint is I didn't buy this sooner!

10-Band Graphic EQ

I think it's a great box.  No noticeable noise under regular conditions - and the faders really work your sound....
Reliability/Durability:
When I got it, it was dead.  But as with ALL the EH stuff I buy, it's usually something trivial.  The AC cable is shoved into this really restrictive lug that just pinches the wire. Eventually, it did.  I put in a new cable, and that was it.  Mine also had a loose component - most likey from being jarred around for years and years.  I found it, soldered it back to the board - happily ever after.
Ease of Use:
Really easy to use. I like the fact that it's True Bypass and that the sliders are a nice distance apart - unlike other pedal EQ's that you need a set of pliers to work with..
Customer Support:
Not good.  But luckily, not really needed.
Overall Rating:
Sometimes, I don't like the fact that there's no LED.  EQ's are one of those pedals that's very subtle - you have to turn it off to realize that it was on :)  That's my only gripe...

very musical sounding. First thing I did was putting the 1 kHz slider all the way up and all others all the way down. That got me a nice lo-fi sound for "telephone guitar" parts like in RATM's "Born of a broken man". The riff for "Sleep now in the fire" is also fun with the EQ in front of a RAT. It's a big, fat ugly box, black and silver with yellow lettering, and it's scratched and dented all over. But I already love this thing. If you don't have an EQ, you don't know what you're missing! This is a real soundshifter, great for unexpected changes during a song. Say you play a distorted, bass heavy riff and then launch into a really tinny, scratchy guitar part. If contrast is what you're after, get an EQ. This one is just the right thing. It has a built-in power cord, too.
Reliability/Durability:
It seems sturdy, it has a metal case, and it looks like it already took quite a beating. Unless you're a professional wrestler and like to abuse your pedals, this will hold up. All parts are easily serviceable too, and fixing anything should be easy. A backup would be hard to get because this is a vintage unit.
Ease of Use:
10 sliders for +-15 dB of boosting/cutting frequencies, power LED, stompswitch. It's not a tone sucker, but I will still mod it for true bypass.
Customer Support:
No idea. It's vintage and they don't make it anymore.
Overall Rating:
I play guitar rock, I've been playing for 19 years, blah blah..... yes it's a good match. It expands my tonal palette immensely. My test setup was Telecaster - MXR Phase 100 - EHX 10band EQ - RAT - Vox AC30. I love how I can expand my sound with this thing, I can really degrade the clean sound and it also rocks in front of a distortion unit. Yes, I fell like a rock although it's butt-ugly. I bought it over the Boss and Dano 7-band EQ's because it's just different. A 10 band EQ is really a different animal. It cuts and boosts different frequencies. I wish it was true bypass, but it's really old so... It will be modded for TB soon anyway. It's a personality box. And for the price, I'll give it a 10. Loooove.

Very clean, effective cut/boost...  Great addition to any rig.
Reliability/Durability:
A friend rescued it from a garbage can, brough it to me cause I played guitar and liked electronics...  Put a new AC cord on it an its been truckin' ever since...  Actually that was 12 years ago!
Ease of Use:
On/off, bypass, 10 individual sliders...  Duh!
Customer Support:
No idea...
Overall Rating:
I like it, it is about 8" X 10" so its big... the power supply is enclosed so there is no wall warts to worry about, it's enclosed in a shiny metal case (tough!) and looks vintage...  I hate to loose it cause I couldn't have got a better deal on one...  I like it better than the Boss GE-7.
