This is really more of an OD pedal for me. The Treble Boost is unbelievable! I've had this unit since the 80's but it always sounded raw and kind of nasty in front of my Solid State amps back then. I am now playing it into a Crate Vintage Club 30 (EL84 tubes) and it gives solo work a perfect "screamy" edge (think early Carlos Santana or even Stevie Ray Vaughn). Plus it thickens up the sound across the range. While it says Treble Booser it really just saturates everything without giving up that musical response. I know that sounds fairly obscure but really it just sweetens and saturates the entire tonal range giving it a "Live" feeling. I really don't use fuzz much but it would be good for the late 60's Psychedelic sound.
Reliability/Durability:
Still works in 2010 almost 30 years later. It used to burn up batteries quickly so the One Spot makes this a more usable pedal.
Ease of Use:
My principle use for this thing is the Treble Boost. The fuzz has two ranges. One is smooth and thick and the other is kind of crazy and wild. Just tweak the settings with the buttons for the gain and tone you like then activate them with the 3 stomp buttons. No manual.
Customer Support:
Never used it.
Overall Rating:
Playing for 40 years. I play kind of a Peter Green style blues/classic rock with some jazzier overtones of (although not as good as) Larry Carlton of Steely Dan Fame. Other influences: Robin Trower, Hendrix, Clapton. I don't think I would be able to find another one if this were lost. I love the sound and the lasting quality. Dislike the size (like 7 x 10 inches). I have tried other OD's but nothing else sounds like this. It really does improve the sound of everything it touches. I play a '61 Telecaster, a Les Paul and a recent (90's) Ibanez. I really sweetens up single coils and gives them a more musical texture. It only works in front of a tube sound. It actually sounds pretty crappy/trashy in front of a Solid State amp.

I use it with guitars and keyboards. Pedals like this don't have to be used with guitars only. It is very noisy, that is what it is for! The fuzz on this pedal is very dirty and loud. I use it through a Roland Cube amp and also direct to my desk. Very good fuzz effect.
Reliability/Durability:
This pedal is from the early seventies and still works. It is built in a heavy duty metal case. You can bang nails into walls with this pedal! You can use this pedal without a backup, it is very reliable.
Ease of Use:
The Bee Baa is very easy to use. Plug in your instrument, then plug the Bee Baa to your amp etc and away you go. Editing is done with pots/knobs on the back panel. No manual, I bought it without one. I don't think you really need one as everything is quite straight forward.
Customer Support:
Roland probably don't even remember making this pedal. It is very easy to get repaired. There are no special parts inside. It opens up easily to maintain. The battery is inside as well.
Overall Rating:
I use it for dirty distortion on anything that needs it. I would not get rid of it. The good thing about it is the ease of use. Very good, old pedal. Dirty!

Guitar Player called this "the most wicked, demonic sounding fuzz around", and I would agree. I use mostly vintage Fenders and Gibsons through various vintage Fender amps, also a Fernandes Decade Sustainer. I first plug into a TS-9, then into the Bee Baa, a Roland CE-1, and finally a tube Echoplex. No more noise than any othe fuzz I've used, and the full-range fuzz sounds INCREDIBLE! I don't reaaly use the midrangey fuzz or the treble booster. The only thing about it I don't like is that the bypass level is significantly louder than when the thing is on, even with a new battery and all the levels cranked up. Sounds much better than my Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz, Classic Fuzz, or Voodoo 1, although it was more expensive. Gave it a 9 only because of the level drop when effect is on.
Reliability/Durability:
I've only had it a couple months, but it's around 20 years old and still sounding great. Wouldn't play a gig without it.
Ease of Use:
Pretty straight forward fuzz, with two types of fuzz. One is full range, the other kind of midrangey. There is also a switch to select treble boost, like an overdrive, and a bypass switch. There are controls treble boost level, fuzz tone, fuzz level, and sustain (amount of fuzz). Turning the Sustain knob all the way down, the potentiometer clicks the thing off! Kind of wierd.
Customer Support:
Never had to deal with them.
Overall Rating:
If you need a serious Fuzz, and you're a serious musician, this is the fuzz to invest in. I've been playing for almost 14 years, never heard anything like this, nothing sounds even close. If it were stolen, I would have to get another one.

The unit is quite noisy. Actually depends on type of amp and the settings of these. I use it mostly as a treblebooster in front of my 100w Marshall Super Lead (volume on 7-8), so i dont really care about background noises. The fuzz is funnier in front of a cleaner amp like a fender super reverb, but it's quite good (demonic?) sounding
Reliability/Durability:
There is a problem with the fuzz/booster switch but since i dont use it on stage.....i don't want a backup
Ease of Use:
Very easy. Contains a fuzz and a treblebooster.4 knobs: 3 for fuzz, 1 for trebleboost. 3 ft/switches (effects on/off,fuzz/treblebooster & fuzz mode). The fuzz is actually 2 in 1.A normal full-bandwith mode and a more middle toned type of fuzz. the controls for fuzz is intensity, tone and volume. the treblebooster has a single volume knob.
Customer Support:
I never dealt with Roland, so i don't know. i will try and get the switch fixed. I want a guitartech !!!!
Overall Rating:
I love it's functionality. No knobs on top of the pedal, they are in the front of it. The sound of the treblebooster in front of an old Marshall is evil. Very 70's . Actually i think it boosts the lower midrange more than treble.
