amazing pure analog delay. long delay time. super sweet.
Reliability/Durability:
quality build. no problems. plugs in.
Ease of Use:
big yellow box. made in usa. 4 knobs. super easy. use two cords to go full stereo. otherwise there is a volume drop unless you have the mix knob all the way up. the mix feature is so useful for a variety of sounds/textures.

best delay i've played through. way more interesting than any others i've seen. only downside for some people with lots of pedals would be the size and lack of battery power.

Here's my issue with this pedal... awesome gross degraded long delay sounds, but, as others have noted, when the delay is engaged there is a tremendous signal loss. So much so, using this pedal in mono is useless. BUT, it sounds amazing if you have two amps!!! You HAVE to run the delayed signal separately using the second output. I give it a 10 if used in stereo, but a 1 if used in mono. Which makes it hard to give an overall score...
Reliability/Durability:
It's ancient and has never broken.

here's the trick  3 amp bliss - go into a ce-1 or comprable stereo chorus then take right out of  ce-1 into left amp w tremolo -- and left out of ce-1 into ross delay in -then local out into right amp---then remote out into center amp-- i defy any one to get a cooler crazier tone notes trail from left to right with a nice flutter, plus you can switch the remote on and off for that sweet lead boost. then hit the chorus-- holy crap--now put a flanger in front of the chorus -- look out edge --amps im using are 61 princeton brownface on left w/ tremolo- 65 bassman w/ 2x12 for center and 55 tweed bassman for right side and a leslie on the 55.. wow i'm in heaven...you'll see nothing as coll as this live
Reliability/Durability:
had i for 10 years and it's from late 70's so seems ok
Ease of Use:
super simple  nice to have 2 sides mmmm good ol analog. 500ms to boot
Customer Support:

i got lucky--found at a pawn shop back in 94 when peps were still trying to wake up from those rack nightmares back then nobody cared about ross--got my ross comp even cheaper-2 bucks-crazy i know but as always wait long enough and people finally come around. i will always keep this thing. such a secret weapon. try one in the above configuration and you'll die happy...

This is a great Analog delay ,  the best I have tried ! , if its Thin Lizzy you want Live and dangerous , this is it , it does great Hendrix sound effects like on Ladyland , 1983 ETC when you turn up the effect and feed back , It is stereo too there is some real mesmerising sounds when you go through 2 amps !! I am not aware of another analog stereo delay like this , its so cool ,it has 25 to 500 millesecond delays which is pretty long for analog ,,the  Maxon 900 only does a fraction more at 600 milleseconds and thats not stereo or vintage and costs a lot as well ,,,  there is a degredation of the repeats as in all analog delays but that is why they sound so good this is more versatile being stereo and analog than any I have tried , I saw one of these sell for $400 dollors , I would never sell mine ,  how could I replace it ??? .they don't make those bucket brigade chips anymore
Reliability/Durability:
not broke yet
Ease of Use:
4 Knobs , it is quite easy to use I give it a 9

I give it a solid 8.  This is analog delay it is not intended to sound perfect.  Degradation of the signal is to be expected.  This thing produces some of the wildest regeneration effects I have heard to date.  The Van Halen dive bonb sound at the end of eruption is achievable...as well as U2 echo parts.
Reliability/Durability:
Seems solid and reliable no problems!
Ease of Use:
I found it simple to use and easy to get vintage style analog delay.  Manual is on the back and it is pretty easy to set up.
Customer Support:
Well Ross is no more as far as I know but they made some excellent old pedals.  The Ross Compressors are fetching top dollars.
Overall Rating:
Overall again I rate it a solid 8.  This pedal will give you vintage delay and stereo to boot.  I have been playing over 20 years and I know when something sounds good.  This pedal is great for vintage type applications, though the regeneration effects would work well in a modern rock context.
