I think people get very off-topic when it comes to what they think about sound quality. E.g. "I bought a Death Metal pedal 'cause I play Death Metal, but I can't make it sound like the guys on my CD player... wah wah wah...". I say to those people, you aren't musicians; stop trying to be like someone else, find your own sound and write your own damn music. As far as I'm concerned, this pedal does what it says, and does it awesomely. If you're looking for a harsh, industrial style distortion, or even a more doomy, chug-fest sound, this pedal will work. You're never going to sound like your favourite band with a cheap pedal like this, but why would you want to anyway? It's boring. I got this pedal to go along with the Iron Gear Hot Slag pickups I just put in my cheap-***** Ibanez. Before the pedal, used the distortion on my mates Line 6 Spider Valve 212 Modeling Tube amp, sounded awesome. After the pedal, put the amp on clean, switched pedal on... I think I drooled a little bit. Bit of E.Q tweeking, found the sound I'd been looking for.
Reliability/Durability:
Bought mine 2nd hand off eBay, hasn't broken yet. But haven't had it long enough to give a worth-while opinion.
Ease of Use:
4 knobs, a thing you jump on when you want it to make noise and a place to stick your jack into... Don't see how it could be easier.
Customer Support:
Don't think they exist anymore... Either way, never contacted them, so, no opinion.
Overall Rating:
Overall, I'm gonna give this an 8 / 10. It's cheap, reliable (so far), sounds like a cat being stabbed in the eyeball with an extra spicy, chili-flavoured Dorito (in that awesome way that makes your fingernails curl), and, probably best of all, really confuses the hell outta Boss users. (D.O.D? That's not how you spell Boss... What sorcery is this?!)

I'm using a Vintage VS-6 (sg copy) and 25 watts DRIVE G25 solid state amp. it has some noise and feedback if you turn the mid knob way after 12 o'clock. if you turn the mid off, you will get boosted tone, which is pretty good for thrash. all knobs at the 12 o'clock - it becomes very nice rock distortion. i can easily get Misfits(new), metallica type of sound. well, what can i say - from rock to grindcore madness - it can take it all.
Reliability/Durability:
the pedal is made from metal,it hard as a rock. only thing is that switch are plastic, but it's also very tough. i think i would easily use it without a backup.
Ease of Use:
well, four knobs: level(rip), low(guts), mid(pain), high(scream). there is no gain knob. yes, it is a high gain pedal, but if you try, you can get pretty good versatility of tones.
Customer Support:
never dealth with them
Overall Rating:
i play music from punk/hardcore to thrash, sometimes rock'n;roll. it is pretty good choice. i've been playing for an 4 years, have Vintage VS6 guitar, Drive G25 amp. if it were stolen or lost, i probably try to find another one(it's quite hard, because they are out of production). i wish it has metal switch,so it would be total undestructible :)

Name almost any distortion, overdrive, or fuzz, and odds are good i own one (sometimes two depending if i like it and feel the need for a backup). I use mine with everything from a vintage fender jazzmaster through a pignose to my gigging rig, an original ibanez destroyer with bareknuckles through a randall v3. Crank the mids on it, you'll get a nice chunky judas priest tone. Turn the mids down and boost the highs and lows, and you'll get a nice metallica "and justice for all"-era tone. i leave the treble on mine turned all the way up and only really tweak the mids and lows depending on the amount of chunk my sound needs. I'm not sure how experience alot of these people are, but anyone who says this is only good for metal is an idiot at best. i regularly set my tone for a fast metal tone a'la graves-era misfits, then simply turn my pickup volume down and go straight into a cover of the james gang's "funk 49". don't touch the pedal or the amp, just turn the volume down.
Reliability/Durability:
This pedal is my workhorse. I've owned it for 7 years now, and never had a single problem out of it. I've repeatedly had beer, pink lemonade, or soda spilled on it, and it keeps on going. I can't say that I use it without a backup (as I have about 8 other distortion/overdrive units on my pedal board), but if those weren't there, I'd surely keep right on playing without a backup.
Ease of Use:
I love this pedal. I play everything from metal to blues to funk to classic rock on it, and no, it's not strictly a "metal" pedal. with some tweaking you can use it for anything, not just metal.
Customer Support:
Never had to. This thing is a tank, and I've never had so much as a squeak, hum, squeal, or anything out of it. It takes a beating day in day out, and it faithfully keeps going like a freight train.
Overall Rating:
Ok, this pedal is best suited for metal, but it is the death metal distortion. But just because I said "best suited", don't mistake me. I play everything from james brown to lynyrd skynyrd to misfits to pink floyd with this thing, and without even turning it off. Simply balance your guitar's volume, use a wah as a treble booster (suggestion), and add reverb for solos, there you go, and since most amps these days have built in reverb, that means you only really have to buy a wah.

this pedal just ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to play some metal in a band I played with, and so one day I bought this unit. The following day I used this thing, and, I mean, what can I say, it was HEAVY, ANNOYING, POWERFUL, whatever you wanna call it, I felt my sound was ALIVE with this thing, if you wanna get a POWERFUL AND HEAVY sound, this unit is for you, unfortunately I don't own it anymore, but the guy that has the pedal now just says that this is PURE METAL AND HEAVINESS, this is NOT for anything else, remember that. high frequencies are a little high, so I used to put the high knob at 9 o clock at the most. The mid knob is LOVELY, and the BASS is just full of punch and power. This pedal has a high output, I actually didn't put the level knob higher than 12o'clock, cause it's too much. Conclusion: METAL? HEAVINESS? POWER? this is for you!!!
Reliability/Durability:
I never had a problem with it, I used it for more than a year, and it was perfect.
Ease of Use:
this is pretty simple. Low, Mid and high. No gain, of course, you're playing METAL with this unit. Don't try it for anything else. you'll be dissapointed
Customer Support:
Never used it. Never needed it. so no opinion on this one.
Overall Rating:
IT's an amazing pedal. It's made for metal, hard rock and all that, and again, NOT FOR ANYTHING ELSE, since there's no gain knob, so.

First: if you are 12, play in your bedroom, with a 150$ BC Rick bitch-my-warlock-ass-beast on a 10w solid state crapola amp JUST FORGET IT! It won't sound like slipknot or whatever... Well that said, this little hellbox got its own sound, a pretty powerfull over the top distortion sound. I just love it with the right setting. It gots that ¿¿ber distorted sound those early to mid 90's death metal bands had, just be carefull with the mid EQ as it kills the tone the more you scoop. So yea with this you can play death metal on a Fender Blues Deluxe haha. Still it's not a tube distortion so no 10 here.
Reliability/Durability:
The thing solid rock solid! all metal beside the switch wich sometimes don't switch, but who need to switch it off? It's called DOD Death Metal for Hell sakes >:] just be sure to use a very good battery or an adapter, it'll get the sound more full and solid.
Ease of Use:
Well it looks easy, but it needs a little of your brain to get a good sound out of this. I use this on a variety of tube amps (mostly Fender, Mesa, Marshall, and my little Iby Valbee tube amp) and I generaly start with bass and middle at the mid point and treble all the way down (on a clean channel, amp EQ on middle positions, gain down, master volume where you like it). This thing generate A LOT of treble so you have to start raising the treble slightly until you get enough presence for your taste. On most Fender amps I leave the treble on 0 and mostly between 1 and 2 on other amps.
Customer Support:
Never dealt with them, but they are pretty much dead, it's Digitech now...
Overall Rating:
For the price paid this thing just ripps everything appart in its category. You can't get a better extreme dist stomp box for that price IMHO. So all in all 3 rules: - No cropla guitar/amps/cables/whatever with it. - No solid state amps (at least I've never found one that work well with it, it just needs that tube poweramp distortion to come to life.) - Treble on 0 at first.
