Sounds like two rhinos humping. Thru a Marshall gone wild. Serious. I bought one of these, sold it after getting a Zvex Fuzz Factory, then missed it so much I bought another. This time, I'm not letting her go. I got lucky: I bought one on ebay from a user and fellow devotee who owned 5. He sold me what I guess he though was his worst, cause the LED didn't work. Well, it was just a loose ground wire. This baby sounds ferocious!
Reliability/Durability:
It's a DOD. Someone once told me for $40 DOD will fix any of their pedals. Don't know if that's true, I've always fixed these DODs myself (including this one). One mod I recommend is replace the 1/8" power jack input w/ a Boss-style 3/8" jack input. You can find the part on ebay for 99 cents. Do it, you won't regret it. For the most part, these babies can withstand even the most brutish of players (myself included)...
Ease of Use:
Super easy: 4 knobs that work the volume (dissolve), low eq (bottom), hi eq (top), and distortion level (rust). Super easy to get a great sound. My advice: back off on the rust. My fave settings usually use the rust knob at 12 to 2 oclock.
Customer Support:
Like a said "$40 dollars"...
Overall Rating:
This is without a doubt, the HARDEST Distortion pedal DOD ever made. I think it shines it's best thru solid state amps (you should hear it thru my Orange crush 1o watter: awesome!). I read DOD only made about a thousand of these for a Guitar Center promo, don't know if that's true. I do know they pop up on ebay all the time for $50, give or take. I paid $52 w/ shipping. Whatta deal! If it was lost or stolen I'd DEF get another...

I traded my old Thrash Master for this unit. I use a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Fender Strat through it and some other effects, and into either my sampler or direct box. This thing is quite noisy, so some might want to use a noise gate with it. But this pedal screams - with both the tone knobs set to full it shrieks like a banchee (really shrill highs), but if you pull the Top back to about 1 o'clock it's not so bad. I don't use this to emulate any artists, but I'd say it would fit well with old thrash or speed metal. I rate the sound at 10 because it's as nasty as they get - pure evil in a box.
Reliability/Durability:
Reliability hasn't been the greatest with mine. The nut on the output jack came off and the jack slipped inside, and the threading's stripped. The switch is busted, it won't turn off, and the battery wire is way too short. Since I only use it in the studio, I don't need to worry about it much, but I probably wouldn't rely on mine live.
Ease of Use:
As simple as any other distortion box. 4 knobs; Dissolve=Volume, Bottom and Top controls, and Rust=distortion.
Customer Support:
Overall Rating:
Overall it's a great pedal, but the build quality wasn't the best on mine. The Corrosion fits in well with my thrashy industrial sound, almost too well. I might consider buying another one if mine were to die completely.

I use this with an epiphone guitar with a jb in the bridge and jazz in the neck, it is a great pedal and gives me the distortion i need for punk.
Reliability/Durability:
Built like a tank and i would deffinitely gig it without a backup
Ease of Use:
Easy to use no real difficulty.
Customer Support:
never dealt with them

I am using this with an old Conrad Acoustic/Electric with a Ibanez CF-7, EH Memory Man delay, BOSS AD-3, and a boss overdrive into a Kustom K25-2 amp (yeah the old white/black vinyl covered amps). I rarely use it anymore because it has a very generic sound. With some tweaking you may get an early metallica sounding distortion. turn up the gain and you can cut through solos pretty well.
Reliability/Durability:
I had problems with the first one i bought. it would switch over to distortion, and the one i had now had problems once. Its built like a tank but the insides are weak. Use a backup in a gig.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use and set up. A must get for beginners who want distortion or something to switch their guitar over from clean to dist. quickly.
Customer Support:
I never had to deal with them, i just took it back and got a new one.
Overall Rating:
Like I said, its a nice pedal for beginners, and if you dont want to spend alot of money. I'm tempted to sell mine to a friend who needs a cheap distortion box. Overall its a decent pedal but dont pay more than $45 because you could get a better distortion for a few bucks more. If you buy it used dont pay more than $25.

Sound quality is great if all you want is just something to hold you off until you can buy a more expensive pedal. Good for early Metallica songs.
Reliability/Durability:
In my experience, this pedal cannot be counted on because it tends to not work properly. Maybe make this your backup pedal or store it in the closet when your at a gig. If you can get it to work all the time, go for it. I'm returning mine in a few days.
Ease of Use:
This is a very easy effects pedal to use. Definitely for beginners if you are new to effects on guitars. It would be pretty hard to screw this one up! Has four standard knobs with screwy names. I've only been able to get 2 sounds out of it, and I have had a lot of trouble getting it to switch from clean to distortion.
Customer Support:
I have not dealt with them, and I plan not to. I am going to buy a different pedal.
Overall Rating:
If you're lucky, you'll get a DOD Corosion pedal that works. If not, then return it. I recommend a Grunge if youre getting a DOD. But overall, if it works, an average pedal.
