Honestly this thing is sweet. Kills all the hum and buzz from those cheap single coil pickups(my case). Works great right before any effects and with the little bit of loss of highs you can easily get them back with an eq. It uses the overly famous JRC4558D chip inside. for what i don't know
Reliability/Durability:
though this thing sounds great, that damn on off switch is very flakey. But I think that is an issue with all the 9,L, and 10 series beyond that, this thing has worked perfectly
Ease of Use:
It has one know and a footswitch. doesn't any simpler
Customer Support:
its basically vintage now, good luck
Overall Rating:
well beyond what's been said, theres really not much more than that. This is a really great pedal for killing that hum your pickups output and like i said works great right infront of all your effects and is pretty cheap on ebay, along with all of the rest of the 10 series - I like them alot

Sounds great, and does what it does in a simple manner... pot works in counterclock manner. Too near the maximum setting and you lose too much highs... but then again this is sometimes what you might want so... you can tune this to get quite clean sound... if you can endure slight highs loss... tweak it and enjoy. Very similar to the sought after Hush pedals so enough said....
Reliability/Durability:
Just teh fcat that I bought this used in 2001 is a proof of its reliability... been around for a while... I got lucky this unit is dead mint, must have been in good hands prior getting to me... but this thing is meant to be used so yeah reliable it is!
Ease of Use:
One knob, and one switch can't get any easier.
Customer Support:
Don't expect much of them on their older products... tho they're usually nice peoples...
Overall Rating:
At the price I got this thing, it's amazing value. It's quite a good match... I thought I wouldn't really like this pedal but I do... if you use a smokeyamp this is a nice pedal to put in front of it... and it's really nice after a comp pedal in a more standard setup...

Once again, it's in the loop of my `82 Fender Concert. The Noise Buster was intended to be a hush pedal of sorts - the frequency knob cuts more and more treble frequencies as it's dialed counterclockwise. The bonus is that with the level at 10 (which is the equvalent of not cutting any frequencies out), it's still nearly transparent, but full tilt at "0", it sounds like everything above 10KHz is cut out.
Reliability/Durability:
I/O & AC jacks soldered directly to board, possible switch problems, etc, etc, etc.... So far this one is without any problems.
Ease of Use:
One knob (frequency) and one switch (that would be the on/off stomp button). The only way to make it simpler would be to have a pedal that did absolutely nothing.

Annoyed by 60Hz hum while using single coil pickups? Do you like to run multiple distortions just to see how much you can ruin your signal, but wish that it wasn't so damn noisy? Want to remove sparkle by stepping on a pedal? This thing is great; I've only had it a few days but it's extremely useful. Next I'm going to try to see if it can wipe out line noise generated by the halogen lamp in my living room. The fine folks at Maxon had their thinking caps on when they came up with this idea.
