Some noise is apparent, especially if fed into a high gain amplifier channel set for distortion. Other than that, the actual effect produces a remarkable result and one that can't be duplicated easily with other effect pedals. Totally unique. Wish somebody would write a VST emulation of it.
Reliability/Durability:
I currently don't have a POG2. The first one died when the Attack control began feeding back at its minimum setting and shutting down the effect entirely. The second unit couldn't save presets. Both were new in a box. If this is a sign of the quality control, then things have gotten bad. EH pedals always did break down (in fact I got many of mine cheap, just by buying up broken ones cheaply and repairing them). It is a very bad sign to get two dead on arrivals on the trot, though. This is a pricey pedal. I won't be buying a replacement until I can try it in the store and I would not rely on it if gigging.
Ease of Use:
Preset save and recall system takes some getting used to and the new Dry FX feature, although simple enough, takes a while to remember. Which colour means which effects are on the dry signal? And if the dry signal has an effect, it isn't dry anymore, is it? What they meant was the effect applied to the non-octave sound.
Customer Support:
I didn't deal with the manufacturer, but the idea of sending my pedal to the US and crossing my fingers is only something I would do if totally desperate. That said, the local dealer quite happily refunded me for the dead pedal, after having offered me a replacement pedal initially (neither the one I bought or the replacement pedal functioned correctly - different faults).
Overall Rating:
It breaks my heart to give this pedal a bad rating, because it sounds superb and unique. I will be trying to find a replacement that actually works, which I shall then wrap in cotton wool and treat like a frail boned old aged person, because I really think the build quality and quality control totally suck. This has been said of EH pedals before and I have over a dozen, so I am qualified to say that as great as they sound, they are not reliable. I currently have an out of action Deluxe Memory Man and Electric Mistress. My Attack Decay already had a visit to the brilliant Howard Davis.

I'm using a Telecaster or SG through the POG2 and some other effects (Big Muff USA, Boss DD-20, Digitech Whammy, Fulltone OCD), into an Orange Thunderverb 50 head and Orange 2x12. The unit does add a little hiss to the signal when on, but is true bypass silent when off, this one belongs pre-od/distortion, if not you'll be hearing a high pitched buzzing when playing. The effects are amazing, the right hand section, which includes attack, low pass filter, and detune sliders, is a massive bonus, just in the first few hours I managed to get a sound like a choir using the LP filter, and the detune effect is a fair chorus sound, (i have no room on my board for a pedal just for chorus, this will do) it swells for that organ sound with the attack slider up. The POG2 also does simpler things well, such as bass sounds and 12 string sounds, good for Jack White wannabes too of course... all octave settings track perfectly, thought the -2 octave is a little shaky, just because it's so low, i wouldn't go blasting small speakers with that. The octaves are far more organic sounding than on the Digitech Whammy.
Reliability/Durability:
I haven't had it for long so I can't say, though the small plastic sliders and preset knob worry me, if I were to chuck this in a bag with other gear... I'll be very careful.
Ease of Use:
It's a fairly simple layout, sliders for each control, using the Q button to adjust the LP filter is fiddly as is the dry signal settings, took a couple of hours to get my head around the presets and everything, now it's easy
Customer Support:
Nope, I assume it would be difficult, considering I got it delivered to Australia...
Overall Rating:
I play in an alternative/rock band, I like to experiment with interesting guitar sounds to accompany my usual tone, I needed an octave down harmonizer and this happens to do so much more as well, It was well worth the money and I'm sure it'll be a crowd-pleaser. My favourite feature is probably the attack adjusting, as to me this sets the pedal apart from its predecessors and its competition, the sweeping organ/synth sounds are out of this world. I'd kill for an expression pedal out, though, but it's the kind of pedal that works well with other effects so that's cool. when this POG2 dies, I'll bury it, then buy a new one

Wow. That's all I can say. This pedal will be loads of fun and probably turn up in lots of my home recordings. You can get a convincing organ sound grinding away or a synth lead by using the tonal sliders (-2, -1, +1, +2 octaves) as well as the direct sound slider to adjust anything from a shrieking high lead to a massive bass organ blast. The useful attack envelope slider, the LPF slider, and the Detune (Chorus-type effect) make this one of the funnest pedals with play around with ever.
Reliability/Durability:
Looks robust. Can't say I'd pour water over it since it uses a wall wart. But it appears solid enough. It's not built like a tank like my Frostwave Ringer or Funk-a-Dunk but it's a lot more solid than older E-H pedals from the 70's.
Ease of Use:
This is the update to the original POG form EH. This model adds some new features and EH claims it sounds better than the original as well. Very easy to use- sliders all labeled and easy to understand. The only downside is the color-coded LED lights that make you read the manual to know what they mean.
Customer Support:
Never had to deal with E-H. My default rating is a 7.
Overall Rating:
Fun Fun Fun. That's what this pedal brings to the table. Add a Fuzz Face before it in the signal chain and you have a massive wall of bass or crazy lead ready to go.
