Vision Octavia

I'm using the following set up: Fender Highway One Strat > Vision Octavia > Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah > Fulltone Mini Dejavibe > Fulltone 69 Fuzz > Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet > Fulltone Fat Boost > Red Onion True Bypass Looper > Marshall Reflector Reverb > Boss TU-2 > Boss DD-6 > Boss MT-2. All this goes into a Marshall 1959SLP Plexi Head. No additional noise was heard with the Vision Octavia straight through the Plexi. The Octave up effect is very pronounced and a lot more friendly to the ear than the Octafuzz and the JH Octave Fuzz. This is the Octave sound I have been after for a while! The Hendrix Octave up sound is very easy to get.  It sounds great with the Fulldrive 2, Fuzz, Deja Vibe and wah engaged. I haven't tried the RM Rocket Octavia but if it is anything like the Vision, it is highly underated on reviews I have read. Roger Mayer was the original and still the best manufacturer of the Octave effect.

This pedal is very easy to get a great sound out of. I have owned a Fulltone Octafuzz and a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octave Fuzz and even after only owning it for 24 hours, the Vision Octavia is making better sounds than that which has come from months of tweaking the other pedals!

This pedal is great for Hendrix. The tone control also makes this pedal more versatile with a number of tones available for other styles.  I am a big Fulltone fan, but the Octafuzz did not sound half as good as this pedal (perhaps the more expensive Ultimate Octave may be of a match!). The Vision generates with ease that "ghost" Octave sound that Hendrix utilised so well.
