The mod really helps tame down this nasty beast.  Regardless of the mod, I put it into a True Bypass effects loop because it sucks tone when bypassed.  But, when it's on, it sounds good.  I stuck to the Script mod.  Didn't install the toggle.  I didn't do every last mod that came with the kit.  I just went until I like what I heard.  Yanked a couple caps, replaced some, etc... It's now much more subtle and watery/creamy sounding.  Elminates that nasty gain/distortion that comes stock.  What's cool is that I just modded until I found what I was looking for, then stopped.  There's still a few resistors I could have thrown in from the kit, but it sounds exactly like I want it now so why go on?  It's nice that he did the research on it and offered so many options.
Reliability/Durability:
I think this will hold up better than Boss mods, just because the PCB is double sided.  Mike @ vodkamods sent good components that won't crap out.
Ease of Use:
This is the Breathalyzer mod.  Very simple to install.  MXR pedals are a bit af a pain to desolder since both sides have solder, but other than that it's not bad.  Easy to tweak.  Be sure to mess around with the trimpot to get your phase to act the way you want.

Perfect!  I had a mix up with my order, that was MY fault, and Mike took care of me.  Wow.  What a nice guy.  Great support before and after the sale.
Overall Rating:
Only giving a 9 because you can only take a Phase 90 so far.  It's not the greatest phaser on earth, but after the mods it starts to get close.  :)

The set up SG Standard->Breathalyzer->Dynacomp->TS808reissue-> Digitech Digidelay->Marshall DSL 401.  Sounds AMAZING when you put it on the "Script" setting!  It holds onto the note and lets it ride the subtle wave!  Even when not on the script setting the sound is still improved. I had a reissue Phase 90 but thought the peaks were too much and it would distort, so I returned it.  Then i saw Vodkamods.com does a mod to take care of this.  So I invested and am pleased with this pedal.  When its on the "normal" setting it still does distort a little but not like before.  In the "script" mod and takes the edge off the up and down part of the phase.  The difference between the 2 settings is subtle but you can notice it once you start listening for it.  This pedal is noisy but not so bad so you cant use it, it does add a little noise but I think this is due to the pedal design not to the mod.
Reliability/Durability:
I'm sure its 100% reliable, i would gig without a backup.
Ease of Use:
Very easy, one knob and a toggle switch! Came in the original box.

This is where Vodkamods is amazing.  I emailed Mike about 3 times after I got the pedal with questions I had about it.  He returned every retarded email I sent him within 1 day!  It was awesome, he was very helpful.
Overall Rating:
I like classic rock and hippie stuff.  I love this pedal and i think i'm going to order more from Vodkamods.  I may have them do my Dynacomp to Ross mod and maybe pick up one of there Blues Driver mods. Mike also said it may be possible to mod the MXR 107 to the script version.  If I were you I would definetly look into Vodkamods they may have something you really want for a reasonable price.
