Critical Details: Bypass adds no perceivable change to tone.  Low noise.  Blends well with other effects.  Not as rich as some chorus, esp. when used alone. Overall Impression: This pedal is quite subtle. Alone it takes some playing to get something usable.  It was hard to detect that it was even on at first.  However where this pedal really shines is in the versatility and sound quality mixed with other effects .  With the addition of the delay pod there are a wide range of different sounds that you can get.  Combined with either pedal distortion/overdrive or through the amp overdrive, the sound adds the richness and body required for many of those chorus driven metal sounds.  In the manual there is a setting for leslie simulation ala SRV which is quite good in a pinch and actually I prefer it compared to some actually leslie simulators - say a Danelectro Rocky Road for example.  It also works for classic rock tunes where reverb alone isn't enough giving almost a tremolo effect - such as American Woman (the real version by the Guess Who). If this pedal had a richer chorus on it's own (perhaps with a slightly wider width parameter)it would be a nine or ten.  But it doesn't...
Reliability/Durability:
Solid construction in the body - metal parts.  The knobs are sturdy and rigid in rotation. Although you could kick them by accident they wouldn't turn as much as other pedals.  The switch is a plastic foot plate that connects to a 2 position switch underneath, and tends to slip off the switch and make an audible clicking noise and sticks a bit.  I think if you abused it too much it might permanently miss...  a larger analog type switch with an enlarged top would likely be better, like on an MXR for example.  The battery connection is easy to get too and the wires are think enough to take an appropriate amount of tugging.
Ease of Use:
Easy enough to use.  The Manual provides some suggested settings which seem pretty close if not exactly as expected.  Three knobs allow easy configuration - speed, delay and width.  The addition of the delay pod makes this a very versatile pedal.  May take some experimenting to find the settings you are looking for.
Customer Support:
I have not dealt with the company for any reason.  The Manual is well written and a little more verbose than some providing a few FAQ type troubleshooting items.
Overall Rating:
My rig : Gibson Epiphone Special Model [custom electronics - Gibson '57 classic at the neck and Gibson Hot Alnico at the Bridge, Gibson Tunomatic bridge assembly, Grover locking tuning machines) + Morley Wah+Volume [custom electronics] + Ts7 + Daddy-O + DS-1 + Peavey Bandit 112 Classic + <FX Loop> FX65-b + Dane Phaser + Dane Flanger + Dane Delay + Dane EQ </FX Loop> Been playing 17 years.  My custom guitar has a classic LP tone with a quicker decay due to the smaller thinner body of the Special Model.  Sustain is an issue, though the lighter weight is almost worth it. Currently my band plays covers from just about any genre you can imagine - pretty much whatever the audience wants to here.  Being able to adapt and be versatile is the key to my setup.   This chorus pedal does have a place in my rig for now.  It lacks warmth and richness when used on it's own, but makes up for this in the large majority of situations in its transperency and coloring when used with other effects.  Ultimately if I can find something that can be as transparent but still be able to have a chorus I can swim in then I would consider changing it.

I use mainly an old Ibanez Roadstar II and a Fender Nashville Telecaster, in combination with a directly plugged Morley wah, and in the effects loop a Boss BF-2 Flanger, DOD F65B chorus and a Boss DD-2 Digital Delay. My amplifier is a Bedrock BC-50, which is a cranked up and remodeled VOX AC-30 like thing. I would say the chorus works fine in combination with the Delay, but i am not happy with the sound when distorted. It doesn't matter if i plug it into the effects loop or plug it directly, when distorted (using my amp's overdrive of course, there's nothing like a real tube overdrive) it sounds too 'chorused', too digitized and most of all too cold. When used clean it sounds super. You can get these really deep Jeff Healey like chorus sounds but also very subtle Richie Sambora like sounds.
Reliability/Durability:
The way i use it, it's been tested a lot gigging. So far I had no problems, so i imagine it's pretty good. I use everything without a backup, i'm not rich, u know...
Ease of Use:
Manual is clear, and with only threeknobs (speed, with and rate) it's quite easy to use. Anyone who ever used a chorus will be able to use this one.
Customer Support:
Never did. Never will get an upgrade; i'll move to a digital multiprocessor and get rid of all the cables.
Overall Rating:
I play mainly rock. The thing does it's work. There. That's it. It's not great, it's not bad. I can imagine there are better choruses available for the same price. I can also imagine there are worse choruses available for the same price.

Really Weak sound. I sent it back to DOD and was told that's the way it works. If you like subtle, this might work for you, but in comparing it to a fendor ultimate chorus amp, no contest.
Reliability/Durability:
THe led stopped working about a week after I started using it. the switch is unreliable.
Ease of Use:
Customer Support:
They were very helpful, sent it back under warranty for the weak sound. Unfortunately the weak sound is they way it works...

Totally sucks, sorry I bought it. I got it from Daddy's Junky music. I've dealt with Daddys twice in my lifetime, got ripped off twice.

The chorus speed isn't as fast as I would like it to be, but I really don't use fast chorus, or any chorus for that matter.
Reliability/Durability:
This is an old old DOD bass chorus that I got in a trade from my best friend's little brother.  It is in absolute perfect shape, had to change the battery terminal, but it was VERY simple.  I am tired of people bashing DOD pedals.  I own three of them, and they are all in excellent shape.  They have been in my possesion for at least four years now, and they are all still working PERFECTLY.  I suspect that those of you who have problems with DOD pedals have them because you don't take care of your gear.  Taking care of it doesn't mean throwing it around and stomping down on the switch as hard as you can.  The switch doesn't need to be pressed down that hard for the effect to come on.
Ease of Use:
This thing is very simple to use.  Most stompboxes are.  If it is too difficult to use, then it is probably a rack unit.  Go figure.
Customer Support:
I have emailed them questions about the three pedals that I own, and they have responded within two or three days each time.  Wonderful people.  Also, any idiot can change the battery terminal when those crappy solid plastic ones break.  Look at me, I changed them in two of my pedals so far ( i usually don't use batteries in the delay), and it has worked out real well.  All you do is open it up, unsolder the exsiting battery terminal wires, and resolder on a new one in the same places that the old wires were.  VERY SIMPLE!!!!!!  try it, and stop complaining, for God's sake!
Overall Rating:
A great line of pedals.  I don't like alot of their pedals, just cause They are not nessecary to my style, and these are the only ones that I would even think of using.  But, they are great pedals nontheless, and with names like Stereo Chorus and Digital Delay, I know what I am getting.

I use it with a Jag-Stang and a 160 watt carvin Bass amp. This pedal has a good chorus sound, but it's not too loud, which is a good thing in my opinion. It's a good subtle chorus. If you listen to come as you are by nirvana, well thats the sound you can get with it. You can also get a cool 12 string sound if it's set right. I turn the delay and the width all the way up and the speed to about the middle. It does make a noise if it's on and your not playing. It's a thumping noise, and the higher the speed on the pedal, the faster it goes, but it's hardly noticable.
Reliability/Durability:
Well, every time I pressed it, it would make a huge fuzz sound, but all it was, was that the input was a little loose so I tightened it with my fingers and now it's fine.
Ease of Use:
It has 3 knobs, and you turn them.

Overall Rating:
I think it's a good chorus, and it adds a good sound when I play.
