Sound Quality:
Not bad for the price. Its different from my marshall and rolland Doesnt color the sound like the marshall does. It does have a trim pot inside, its either for attack or decay but I dont think I'll need to experiment. I looked up the chip specs and it says The V13700 consists of two current controlled transconductance amplifiers, each with differential inputs and push-pull output. High-impedance buffers are provided which are especially designed to complement the dynamic range of the amplifiers. The V13700 is greatly suitable for current-controlled amplifiers, filters, oscilllators, multiplexers, timers, etc. So it uses a Dual bufferd Hi impediance linear push pull amp chip which is probibly why it has a nice musical quality.
Reliability/Durability:
Construction quality:  The box is diecast alluminum which is very sturdy. Battery compartment will require a phillipsfor 4 screws. The footswitch is a true bypass but its a fake. The metal button is just a plunger that activates a switch mounted on the PCB. It is quiet though and wouldnt take too much to solder in a real switch in its place. Pots are pcb mounted also like their other pedals except the knobs go through the box and take up any slack making it more sturdy. The power jack is is still on the side and is in front of the input jack which is even more inconvienient than their other boxes. The solder job is real sloppy too so it may be wise to look it over for cold solder joints and stray metal particals when you get it. I found a resistor almost shorted to annother and had to clean up their traces. a few bumps and it might have been a door stop. Behringer needs to deflux and seal their boards. Electronics 101 teaches you leftover rosin is corrosive and will eat away at the solder joints. The only physical problem I had with it was a stripped screw from the factory which I will need to replace.
Ease of Use:
Easy as it gets 2 knobs Output and sensitivity. Set the output even for off and on and adjust the ammount of compression with the sensitivity.

Overall Rating:
Its a copy of the MXR box setup. Dont own an MXR to compare the sound to but for $27 I can live with this one. I prefer an optical compressor to a current controlled for its touch sensitivity when playing but I think this one has its nitche. It should also be more durable which is a complaint about their other plastic pedals. I give this a less than good rating because of the sloppy workmanship and the fake pushbutton switch and bad power plug location.
