Sound Quality:
boom--hit & you're there.  no noise--i have his brit bender too.  his fuzz tone rips--no buzzes.  i use a fuchs or a divided by 13.  this won't sound right, but the effect has a clean feel to it when you hit it.  no mess with what your amp is doing.  not muddy at all--clear sound.  an "alive" effect
Reliability/Durability:
he builds good stuff.  you pay more, & you're getting more too.  just take care of your stuff.
Ease of Use:
you do not need to turn this effect up much at all to get the effect working.  there is plenty of fuzz/octave as you boost, but with hardly any boost, this effect is there.  he uses top components in all his effects--there is a difference.  you do need to play with it, because octave effects are different in a way with their application to your style.
Customer Support:
he's quick with emails.  has good info & sound clips on his site.  mjm is the company.  he doesn't slack on his quality.
Overall Rating:
i checked out other octave effects.  i thought this one had better quality to it, & i think i'm right.  i'm not knocking other octave/fuzzes, i like his stuff.  he has a good ear & probably is a good player too--he may have done the clips himself.  compared to a fulltone, this effect i felt was more "alive".  the fulltone sounds good.  but mjm effects have something else "happening" when you use them.  since i've found him, i'll get his vibe next--just need to save up.
