FX55C

Sounds great through a 1965 univox tube amp, but I think it might be too raspy for solid state. If you have a solid state amp I'd recomend one those distortions with a tube built in.

Just got it, new switch seems tougher than the old switch.

Pretty easy to dial in, I get a nice Black Sabbath sound out of it through my 1965 Univox combo amp, though I need an overdrive for mellower passages. But the FX55C kicks some *** if you want to play hard rock. The unit I have is stock, the only distortions I can think of that I like better are all vintage, so for modern day, it's hard to beat for the price.

Great for heavy classic rock, and for solos, goes nice with a good overdrive.
