Sound Quality:
really,if you have to choose just one phaser in your board, this is a great choice!more subtle than a mxr 90 or a boss ph2.but unlike the 90 it doesnt distort your clean tone, and unlike the ph2 it doesnt sound artificial.[the ph2 is a great pedal however!] one reviewer said it does the stones ''shattered'' and give that song a listen[infact i'd swear the pt9 is all over that some girls recording, but im not sure these were around in 79'. its also an exceptional ''clean'' phaser, perfect for reggae/dub/ambient excursions.this phaser gets extremly fast with the speed maxed, but unfortunatly its not very present at fast speeds. its best for slow to med/fast swirl.when off i notice no tone coloration.
Reliability/Durability:
mines from 82' and i can count on it. 2 words- contact cleaner!
Ease of Use:
easy to use and sounds great with all other fx. 3 knobs- speed/width/feedback my feedback knob does almost nothing to the tone, might as well be a 2 knober!but thats ok, because speed/width work like a charm. i bought this pedal cheap, because it had a dodgey footswitch.i wish people would try a little contact cleaner on these switches befor claiming the switches are crap!good as new!
Customer Support:
uh,i dont think so
Overall Rating:
like i said a great desert island phaser. nothing not to like, sounds killer clean or distorted. strats/teles sound like they should, only juicier with a nice swirl. oh yeh, no volume loss either! word of warning, there are two trim pots inside, leave them alone unless you feel yours are out of wack, because its hard to get em back in sync.
